In anticipation of its Early Access release in July, players will be treated to a public demo of Obsidian’s upcoming bug-fighting adventure title, Grounded, next month.
The demo will run as a part of the Steam Game Fest: Summer Edition which will take place from June 9th through June 14th.
For those without a gaming PC, a second demo will be available on Xbox One via the Xbox Insider program. The process is a bit more involved than playing on Steam, but it will hopefully be worth it for those players chomping at the bit to play what looks to be Obsidian’s playable version of Honey, I Shrunk The Kids.
Details on signing up for the Xbox One demo can be found here. However, Obsidian also noted that involvement in the Xbox Insider demo will be limited, coming on a first-come, first-serve basis. They will be promoting “the start [of the program] on [their] socials,” so interested parties will want to be sure to follow Obsidian’s profiles to know exactly when sign-ups become available.
There’s been a lot of positive buzz surrounding Grounded - a survival game in which players are shrunken teens who do battle with the bug population in their backyard. The demo will likely give us a taste of everything in store for players come the game’s Early Access release.
