With more players firing up GTA Online than ever before, there has never been a better time to invest in an in-game garage.
Grand Theft Auto V has become one of the most popular games of all time during its seven-year run. Only Tetris and Minecraft have sold more copies in all of video game history. This past week, it enjoyed yet another boost in popularity. Epic Games offered GTA V up for free to anyone that doesn’t already have it.
We’re not sure who was waiting seven years for GTA V to be free before “buying” it, but it turns out it was enough people to crash the Epic store. That means GTA Online’s streets will now be flooded with a lot of new faces. Whether you’re a new player who doesn’t know how to buy a garage or a veteran who needs to protect their cars from all these new threats, we’ve got you covered.
GTA Online’s garages come in three tiers. Each tier has a different price bracket and as you might expect, the more you pay, the better and bigger the garage. The cheapest garages cost between $25,000 and $35,000, a mid-tier garage will set players back somewhere between $62,500 and $80,000, and a top of the range garage costs between $105,000 and $150,000.
The most expensive garages in GTA Online will hold as many as ten cars. Yes, $150,000 is a lot of money to fork over all in one go, but anyone who can afford ten cars should be able to afford the garage to keep them in. There are two ways to find garages to buy in GTA Online. Players looking for a specific garage of a certain size will want to use their in-game phone to browse Dynasty8RealEstate.com.
Players with a less pressing desire to keep their precious cars safe can just cruise around Los Santos in one of their rides looking for “For Sale” signs. They might just happen upon the garage of their dreams that way. Or, you know, you can leave your vehicles parked out on the street where rival players can break into and destroy them.
