Following up on the success of its soft launch in Canada earlier this year, mobile RPG Guardian Tales - from developer Kakao Games is officially expanding the game’s soft launch to include more territories to gauge more global interest.

Argentina, Ireland, Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden, and New Zealand are the latest territories to be given access to Guardian Tales, with a worldwide launch scheduled for sometime this summer.

Guardian Tales is a pixelated mobile RPG adventure in which players adventure through dungeons, solve puzzles, and battle massive bosses, while securing loot and collecting other characters - which apparently come in boxes similar to Funko Pop! figurines - to assist them in combat.

Thanks to the feedback of Canadian players, Guardian Tales has already received plenty of updates and improvements, with even more content planned for prior to the worldwide release.

“We are thrilled to see Canadian players enjoying Guardian Tales this much,” said Min Kim, CEO at Kakao Games Europe B.V. “We truly want to thank Guardian Tales fans and the community for playing and providing the feedback we need in order to keep improving the game. So far, from what we’ve seen during the soft launch, we are very excited about the global launch this summer.”

No official release date has been revealed yet, but in preparation of the global launch, additional servers are being set up in Europe, Latin America, and Oceanic territories. Here’s hoping the full launch goes as well as the soft launch has gone thus far.
