You can now grab Gwent: The Witcher Card Game for free on Steam as well as GOG.com!
Gwent is an official overhaul of the card game that features in The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt. It’s already been out for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, iOS, and Android since 2018, but CD Projekt RED has just now announced its official Steam release.
The game’s Steam release allows for cross-play and synchronization with other versions of the game, so you’ll get to compete with players who are using a different platform from your own. All items and progress can be carried over across multiple platforms, too.
Steam achievements and Steam Trading Cards will also be a thing.
Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales has also received an update on Steam. Progress made in the Thronebreaker campaign unlocks rewards - such as premium cards and vanity items - that can be used in Gwent.
Gwent sees you leading powerful armies from the Witcher world in battles against other players across a number of multiplayer modes from ranked games and friendly matches, to Arena battles.
