Serenity Forge’s Half Past Fate is a visually-pleasing pixelated adventure where you get to experience the birth of love, embarrassing moments, and friendship. Such defining moments in people’s lives are bound to separate each of these characters into their own personality categories. Maybe you can relate more to the clumsy, sweaty-palmed video game nerd or the young and curious, adventurous photographer.
This sweet game puts you in the position of multiple life moments most people know all too well and sometimes wish they would rather forget. Part of what makes this story attractive to players is the variety of people represented down to cultures and temperaments.
12 Virgo – Milo
Milo is a sensitive and quiet guy who means well in the long run. When you first meet him, he’s practicing his photography project alone in the park with his dog. Virgos tend to be shy worrywarts but when you get to know them, they reveal their attractive qualities of being quite smart and capable.
While Milo at first seems standoffish and awkward, he has a talented gift for his projects and is able to make something out of nothing.
11 Taurus – Rinden
Rinden is the first character you play as who seems rather on edge and in a rush. He’s a businessman with a need for speed. And reliable friends. The latter of which he doesn’t have. Tauruses are stubborn and can appear callous, yet they are honest and reliable.
While they can act annoyed and headstrong, they will always be there for you and on command. Rinden acts more like a boss to his good friend Kade when you first meet them. Though in a rush, he goes out of his way to get things done. Especially for that first cup of coffee.
10 Capricorn – Holland
Holland is who most people assume to be Rinden’s love interest since when they are first introduced, he is quite interested in her. She comes across as very friendly and open, but as soon as Rinden bumps into someone and spills some coffee on the floor, Holland’s goat horns make way.
Capricorns have good self-control, appear to know better than most people, and follow a certain set of rules. This can be seen in Holland by the way that she breaks the character of happy-cashier to boss-lady when the situation calls for it.
9 Aries – Grace
Grace is the lass who holds up the entire line at this quaint coffee shop, making every customer frustrated and stressed all because there was a tiny misunderstanding in the price of her coffee. Aries people are determined folk who act competitive and will see something through to the end if it bothers them enough.
They can be very passionate and moody. Grace clearly meant no harm, but that wasn’t going to stop her from being distraught about her order enough to create a line to the front door.
8 Pisces – Bia
When players first meet Bia, it’s a beautiful scene of a vibrant park filled with romance and adventure. Bia is a Brazilian living in America for college to pursue her artistic endeavors. Pisces are intuitive people who are often artistic in nature and very trusting and caring to others.
Bia sees all people as friendly, even if they are in her shot and are nasty teenagers. Her drive to get the perfect shot and model shows her passion for art and knack for knowing what goes where.
7 Libra – Ana
Ana’s a tea-loving connoisseur who’s laid back and geeky in her own way. Libras are agreeable people who can easily socialize and play nice with people, if only by accident. They are usually fair-minded and don’t enjoy when people partake in heated arguments.
Ana joins the tea festival on her lonesome, happy to be there in the first place, and easily chats up each vendor to know more about the products. She even chats up a boy who, even though they have no similar interests, find themselves getting along well.
6 Gemini – Jaren
Jaren is your typical gamer dude. He even has his dream job of working in a video game store! He’s a big teddy bear who might be a little slow sometimes but has a big heart. Geminis are kind, friendly people that can sometimes be inconsistent and unsure. Apart from those negative qualities, they are able to adjust well to change.
Jaren was excited to hang out with a new friend if not for the clumsy feat of rubbing off the phone number he was given. Despite this setback, he was able to detective his way back to this friend with the resources he had available.
5 Cancer – Mara
Mara’s a businesswoman, much like Rinden is a businessman. Both rush and are determined to get their work done. She can come across as having a pessimistic aura in regards to work over relationships that make you wonder how true her feelings are.
While people born under the Cancer sign tend to be loyal and imaginative, they are also moody and sentimental for certain things.
4 Scorpio – LostValley Vendor
The LostValley tea vendor at the tea festival Jaren and Ana attended is a bit of a snoot. He’s quick to judge and create exclusivity. Scorpios are jealous and distrusting people that can come across as dangerous.
Apart from the negative aspects, they are brave and unwavering in whatever they put their mind to. This vendor clearly has a special place in his heart for all things tea and was quick to come to its defense, even if he wasn’t very good at his judgment.
3 Sagittarius – Kade
Kade first appears to be inconsiderate of other people’s time and feelings, although he also comes across as being a humorous guy. Sagittarians are quick to humor and optimistic, even if they can’t fulfill promises they clearly made. Kade is someone who says he will be there but is late every time. He makes up for it with his charm, though.
2 Aquarius – Picnicking Lady
This beautiful picnicking lady at the park admires a handsome man from the distance. She’s a bit shy but confident when she’s sure of the terms and conditions. Aquarians are independent people who lean more towards being altruistic and caring but also withdrawn.
This lady was painting away by her lonesome during a beautiful evening at the park when she spotted a handsome lad that she assumed she shouldn’t confront. She assumed wrong and they were able to chat it up.
1 Leo – Oscar
Oscar is the laid back, fun boss of Jaren at the local video game store. He’s a cheerful and generous man. Leos tend to be creative and outgoing people who can have a touch of arrogance here and there. Oscar is the boss man who runs the show, but the moment Jaren needs to leave work for personal inquiries, he doesn’t hesitate to let Jaren go and wish him luck.
