The long-rumored Harry Potter RPG announcement may be quickly approaching if a new round of rumors is to be believed. Warner Bros. has registered a series of URLs hinting that an upcoming Harry Potter event is soon to be announced. Further, the URLs hint that this event will include Harry Potter video games which may or may not feature the rumored Harry Potter RPG.

Four different URLs have been registered. They include “wizardingworldfandome,” “harrypotterfandome,” “fantasticbeastsfandome,” and “portkeygamesfandome.” FanDome, for those unfamiliar, is what Warner Bros. is calling a unique virtual fan experience that it’s running for DC Comics. The event will feature movies, shows, games, and comics and serves to replace the annual SDCC event. The new URLs imply that a Harry Potter FanDome is also going to be announced, too.

The DC FanDome is made up of smaller worlds, like a theme park. So if Harry Potter FanDome is the main event, Wizarding World, Fantastic Beasts, and Portkey Games would be smaller, more specific focuses of the FanDome. Portkey Games specifically deals with all games, mobile, console, and otherwise. In other words, a Harry Potter FanDome by Warner Bros. would be the perfect opportunity to announce a Harry Potter RPG.

The DC FanDome will be launched on Saturday, August 22 and will be live for 24 hours. A Harry Potter event of similar scope would likely be in the weeks after. A Harry Potter FanDome announcement could come at any time, however.

It bears repeating that none of the URLs directly tie to the rumored Harry Potter RPG, so it could be announced at a different event. It could also not be announced at all, especially considering the recent controversy over J.K. Rowling’s incendiary comments. Harry Potter fans will just have to wait and see what comes next.
