Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery has added the Dueling Club event multiple times, but each iteration has been met with harsh criticism from the community. Well, Dueling Club is back in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, and this version of the event appears to have been better received by fans, as it addresses some of the concerns players have had about the mode.

This new version of Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery’s Dueling Club abandons the three ticket system for a two ticket system. Tickets can still be purchased with gems, but they also recharge every four hours. In the last version of Dueling Club, only one ticket would recharge after players used their initial three.

The new version of Dueling Club also appears to no longer be “rigged” in that victories are a lot easier to come by than they were before. The last version of Dueling Club was accused of being rigged by some players because the AI was nearly unbeatable. Part of this was the bot almost always countering the player’s stance, but the fact that the enemy would always deal significantly more damage to the player also played a role.

Now damage appears to be relatively even between the player and the AI they face off against. Furthermore, the AI tends to pick the wrong stance more often than before, so players actually stand a reasonable chance of winning the duels and earning some of the rewards attached to the event.

Like previous versions of Dueling Club, players will earn rewards for racking up wins. Here are all the prizes players can unlock in the latest version of Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery’s Dueling Club:

  • 500 coins (5 wins) 1000 coins (10 wins) 10 energy (15 wins) Cosmetic item (20 wins)

Dueling Club will leave Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery once again tomorrow, so anyone who wants to get their hands on any of these rewards should act quickly. In the meantime, it will be interesting to see when Jam City decides to add Dueling Club back to Hogwarts Mystery, and if it uses fan feedback to alter the mode even further.

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is out now for iOS and Android mobile devices.
