To celebrate the 2-year anniversary of Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery’s release, its developers Jam City have released some interesting stats that reveal players’ favorite house is Gryffindor, and that collectively they have played the game for 35 billion minutes.
35 billion minutes. That means all the game’s players have cumulatively played the game for a total of like 583, 333, 333 hours - almost 67 000 years (or 665,9 centuries - let’s maybe clock up a few more years’ worth of time real quick so we can skate past the triple-six number, yeah?).
Hogwarts Mystery was also the most downloaded game in over 40 countries at one stage. Quite the overachiever.
Additionally, surprising literally no-one in the world, the prevailing favorite choice of house amongst players is apparently Gryffindor. Ravenclaw comes in at number two, then Hufflepuff, and finally Slytherin.
Jam City is also celebrating all these milestones with the launch of a competition which will be opening on 25th April. It’ll be calling on players to design their own in-game costume that incorporates elements from all four Hogwarts houses. The winning costume will be added to the game in Fall 2020.
If you’re keen to try your hand (read: wand) at the competition, check out the game’s Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram pages for more info.
