Harry Potter: Wizards Unite players have to cast spells to get rid of Confoundables and collect Foundables (the main goal of the game), as well as defeat enemies in battle. Since most major actions require spell energy, it’s not hard to run out of spell energy in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, making it one of the game’s most precious resources.
Typically, there are two main methods players will use to get free spell energy in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. One way is by visiting Inns, and the other is by buying some with coins. While coins can be earned in-game, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite players will typically have to spend real money if they want to get any significant amount of coins in the game.
Some players may not have the time to go out to an Inn and may not have enough coins to buy more spell energy. Luckily, Niantic has released a free gift for fans that they can redeem now to get an instant boost of free spell energy. The gift grants players 50 spell energy, ignoring the 75 max limit, and must be redeemed within a day if players want it.
To get the free spell energy in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, players need to tap on the Suitcase on the bottom of the screen. From there, they can click on the shopping basket icon in the top right corner of the screen. This will take players to Diagon Alley, which is Wizards Unite’s in-game store where they can buy gold coins and other things, like exclusive cosmetics. This is also where players will be able to redeem their gift of free spell energy.
The free spell energy gift should be under the Featured tab in Diagon Alley. Simply click on the gift to redeem it, and 50 spell energy should automatically be given to the player.
With more spell energy at their disposal, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite players can head out into the world to collect Confoundables and defeat enemies in battle.
