Harry Potter: Wizards Unite may have had to get creative with some rescheduling for the March Community Day, but Niantic had plenty of time to prepare for the May event and make it as stay-at-home friendly as possible. It’s unclear at this point how many more months these mobile AR experiences will have to remain stay-at-home friendly, but for now players seem to be adjusting well to this new world order.
For May’s Community Day event, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite players are going to have some extra motivation to test out some newly released features. The day is all about Wizarding Challenges and players will likely be putting the new Knight Bus feature to good use as they visit Fortresses without leaving their homes.
Similar to other May events in Wizards Unite, the upcoming Community Day has been optimized to be playable from home. The event will still offer the usual exciting spawns and bonuses, but players won’t have to go to crowded cities, parks, or playgrounds to participate. They also won’t need to rush the whole experience into three hours, because things are being stretched out over the course of a day.
Date and Time
May Community Day: Play At Home Edition is all day Saturday, May 16 from 12:01 a.m.–11:59 p.m. local time. Challenge yourself to take on Wizarding Challenges of even higher levels for equally high-level rewards!

Features and Bonuses
This Community Day you can look forward to the following:
Special Assignments focused on Wizarding Challenges of increasing difficulty, with rewards including Spellbooks, Scrolls, high-level Runestones, and Gold
Increased Ingredients for Healing Potions will appear on the Map
Healing Potions will increase Health by 50%
Spell Energy will appear on the map and will give +5 Spell Energy
Wizarding Challenges will reward Spell Energy as well as increased Family and Challenge XP
Guaranteed Runestone Reward fragments when using any Runestone in Forest Chamber III and above in Wizarding Challenges
