Any game as cryptic as Hellpoint is bound to keep one major secret tucked away for only the most dedicated and hardcore players to find. In the case of Hellpoint, this final secret is more than just an optional scene or cosmetic item. What the game is holding back is the game’s true final boss and ending, locked behind a series of requirements most players won’t even know about on their first play through, let alone be able to accomplish. If you want to uncover the last secrets Hellpoint has hidden up its sleeve, we’ll tell you everything you need to know.

Keep in mind, there will be spoilers!

True Ending Requirements

As you play through Hellpoint, or at least before you take on the final boss, there are five things you need to make sure you accomplish before beating the game.

First is to get the Architect to the Observatory. You can do this any time after killing a main boss, or by completing his side quest while in the Sohn District.

Second is to turn on power to the High Ateliers area through the terminal in Port Issodun.

Third is to craft the A.I Patch Conductor using the rare Nervous Wiring material. Check out our guide on finding that if you need help.

Fourth is to reach 100% completion. Keep in mind that whatever percentage you have will carry over into a new game plus run, making it easy to go well over 100%.

Last is to complete the Prodigal Spawn side quest so he will show up later.

If you’ve done everything on that list, inform the Architect you’ve done so and he will meet you at High Ateliers right before the Interface boss’s arena.

Beat The Interface

Head up to High Ateliers yourself, but don’t challenge the boss just yet. First check out the barred area to the right to find the Architect on the other side. Speak with him to learn about his plan to help you both escape. Once that’s done, you will still need to go fight the Interface like normal, but now a portal will open up once you win.

Interact with this new portal and you will be given the option to “Travel to Outside Space and Time?” Obviously you want to select yes, which will take you to the real final boss: the Sentient.

Beat The Sentient

This boss fight is very tough, if only because you are in space and your HP will continuously drain. Make sure to throw on your EVA Suit and prepare for a long fight. He has a lot of hard to avoid and high damage attacks, plus can teleport around. The upside is that if, or more likely when, you die attempting to fight this boss, you will respawn right before the fight so you can swap out any gear or equipment and try again right away.

Hellpoint’s True Ending

When you do manage to beat the Sentient, a new ending will play where a section of the boss breaks off and an odd contraption glowing purple builds itself below your character. After that, the credits roll as normal.

You will appear back at the Embassy afterwards to continue playing or start a new game plus play through. You are also rewarded with the Soul of the Sentient material, which you can trade with the boss fragment vendor to get the Light Striker weapon.
