As you might know by now, Sony’s PlayStation 5 digital event just revealed an “expanded and enhanced” version of Grand Theft Auto V for the next-gen console, and if you’d like a quick summary of what that entails – you’re in luck!
There were some mixed reactions following the decision to open the PS5 presentation with the seven-year-old Grand Theft Auto V as opposed to one of the other multiple next-gen show-stoppers that are a bit fresher. Regardless, though, the game’s remaster for PS5 will undoubtedly still be wildly popular amongst die-hard GTA V fans and newcomers alike, because this is GTA V we’re talking about after all.
So for those curious to know more about what the PS5 version of this legendary game will feature – here’s what we’re looking at.
Firstly, there’ll be some notable technical improvements, including upgrades to the game’s visuals and overall performance. This is so the game can take full advantage of the latest next-gen hardware, rendering the game more beautiful and responsive than ever.
Secondly, we know that all PlayStation Plus members on PlayStation 4 will receive a little gift in the form of GTA$1,000,000. The cash will get automatically deposited into members’ in-game Maze Bank account within 72 hours of log-in, and recur each month they play GTA Online until its launch on the PS5.
And lastly, while we’re on the subject, there are reportedly more in-store updates including additional exclusive GTA Online content for both the PS5 and PC versions. Plus, PS5 players will gain access to a new standalone version of GTA Online (due to release in the second half of 2021) for free during the first three months after its release.
The PS5 version of GTA V is scheduled for release in the second half of 2021. There is also apparently more that Rockstar intends to reveal – about this game and much more – in the months ahead. Intriguing.
