Popular esports organization FaZe Clan begins to trend on Twitter after posting what seems to be an April Fools’ Day prank. FaZe Clan has been criticized in the past after Fortnite pro Tfue sued the organization for allegedly breaking the law with a contract.

On Twitter, FaZe Clan said that it is “recruiting somebody who responds to this Tweet” and told people to “be in the replies if you want to join FaZe”. The tweet has many excited responses from potential FaZe Clan members such as one who said that joining would be a great “birthday present”. There were also tweets from popular YouTubers and Twitch streamers who all like the idea of being able to become a professional gamer and officially put “FaZe” before their name.

However, not everyone is sure that FaZe really is taking on new members. Several gaming companies have created April Fools’ Day pranks like Square Enix turning Cloud Strife into a Miqote, and this could be FaZe Clan’s prank.

The tweet has had some responses from FaZe Clan owner FaZe Apex and FaZe Clan members like Fortnite streamer Ewok who say that this isn’t a joke. Their support for the April Fools’ Day prank may be part of the prank though and fans aren’t sure if they should really try to get in. It’s unclear when FaZe Clan may confirm its new members or reveal that this was a joke.
