Today, Apex Legends revealed its season 5 trailer showcasing some of the rivalry between Loba and Revenant, her arrival to the Apex Games, and the utter destruction of Skull Town. It’s a remarkable trailer to say the least.
At the time of this writing, the aforementioned Apex Legends trailer has been out in the wild for about 3 hours. Loba has since began trending on Twitter, amassing over 20,000 tweets at the time of this writing.
The specific reason that Loba is trending is due to the overwhelming and positive feedback the character received, with many expressing their awe, enamoration, and love from the character. From her design to peculiar moments in the trailer such as standing before the other Legends to facing off with Revenant, the trailer really drove home the point that Loba is coming to Apex Legends. There’s also lore that she met up with Mirage at a bar, which many adoring fans quickly dismissed.
Known as the Teleporting Thief, Loba looks ready to shake up the meta, but if so and how remains to be seen. Revenant’s response wasn’t as overwhelming, but many enjoyed his character design. It took some time for Apex Legends to buff Revenant to a competitive meta, though. Hopefully, Loba’s legitimate arrival in the game is as eloquent, loosely, as her debut in the trailer.
