Listen up, fans of hide-and-seek and Where’s Waldo-type of puzzles. This news will be music to your ears.

Next month, popular puzzler, Hidden Folks - from developer Adriaan de Jongh - will be receiving a free DLC update for all players who already own the game. The “On Tour” expansion is slated to release on June 4th, bringing with it six new music-themed areas, along with a refreshing new feature that players are sure to appreciate.

“This update will be coupled with a price increase of the game on all platforms while removing all DLCs and in-app purchases,” stated Adriaan on Twitter.

Considering the game is currently priced at a reasonable $3.99 on the App Store and Google play, it is hard to imagine that the upcoming price increase will be anything significant. At the very least, new players will be getting a ton of value from a full version of Hidden Folks that comes without in-app purchases and any related in-game advertisements.

The Where’s Waldo-type of video game genre has seen a bit of a resurgence, thanks to other games like Hidden Through Time executing on the hide-and-seek genre in fun and calming ways - the latter of which is helping many people stay sane with the global Shelter In Place orders with the COVID-19 pandemic.

It’s going to be a weird summer without outdoor music festivals and concerts to attend, but at least Hidden Folks’ “On Tour” expansion will provide some sort of black and white digital solution.
