IO Interactive’s conclusion to the World of Assassination Trilogy is nearing its arrival, as Hitman 3 will be released in just over a week. While Hitman 3 will feature exciting new locations like Dubai, it will also come with a massive trophy set — including a platinum trophy. That said, fans should be aware that there are some story spoilers in the trophy list.
While 2016’s Hitman and its 2018 sequel Hitman 2 were received positively by fans, one of the common complaints was that there was no platinum trophy for the games. Due to their episodic release schedule, Sony did not consider them to be full titles, barring the games from being given access to the coveted platinum trophy. However, with Hitman 3 bringing a full set of locations and trophies at launch, players can expect to be given a platinum trophy at the end of their grind to 100% completion.
One of 2021’s most anticipated games, Hitman 3 seems set to deliver based on this trophy list. A clever collection of trophies that will see players killing targets in certain ways, reaching master levels for each location, and photographing birds, there is a good variety of challenges and fun easter eggs to be seen in the trophy list. With 47 achievements needed to be unlocked in order for the game’s platinum to be achieved, IO Interactive has clearly put some thought into the game’s list.

However, the fun does not end there for Hitman 3 completionists and trophy hunters. With Hitman 3 being billed as the definitive game in the rebooted series, players can access all of Hitman 1 and 2’s locations in the latest game. While this would be a nice enough incentive on its own, the previous Hitman releases get new DLC trophies, a fan-pleasing move that encourages new and returning players alike to play the previous games in the trilogy. Between Hitman 3 and these bonus trophy expansions for Hitman 1 and 2, players will have a staggering total of 84 trophies to collect. With the fun not stopping at the game’s platinum, those who love Agent 47 and his games should have an amazing time with the trilogy’s finale. Whether they’re carrying out assassinations at fashion shows like in the first game or solving murder mysteries in mansions during Hitman 3, every level brings a collection of trophies to hunt down.
With previews for Hitman 3 being promising, discussing how streamlined the game is and highlighting its supposedly excellent levels, the game’s release could not come soon enough. If players are hoping to obtain all the trophies in the finale, though, they may want to clear a whole bunch of time on their schedules.
Hitman 3 is going to release for the Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on January 20, 2021.
