Even though it’s a holiday weekend, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery still received its weekly update as scheduled, and it happens to be rather substantial, and arguably the biggest update Year 5 has had to offer to date. After downloading the latest Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery update, fans of the game should have plenty to do to keep themselves busy until next week.

The latest update for Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery adds Year 5 Chapter 10 to the mobile game, which finally lets players travel to Diagon Alley. While at Diagon Alley, they can explore some of the shops, such as Ollivander’s, as well as get free energy from a coin bag in the middle of the street. Tap on the coin bag and a Niffler will show up and grab it, giving players one free energy bit in the process.

Players also have two more lessons to complete, including a flying lesson called Over Under. As always, we recommend Hogwarts Mystery players take on the flying lesson first, as completing flying lessons is the only way for players to increase their maximum energy. With their maximum energy increased, Hogwarts Mystery fans should be able to complete in-game tasks a little faster than they would have otherwise.

A brand new area to explore and a new story chapter is reason enough for Hogwarts Mystery’s latest update to be the biggest of Year 5 so far, but even more content was added this past week. A new Animagus Adventure side quest is now available, presumably only for players who successfully became an Animagus. In this side quest, players are cooperating with Merula Snyde to gather ingredients for Professor Snape, who has promised 25 house points to them if they’re successful. There have been some reports that Snape doesn’t actually dole out any house points, but if he does, it could be a good way to get ahead in the ongoing House Pride event.

The choice to pair players with Merula this week seems to be a deliberate one, and during the side quest, there are hints that she is really starting to become a better person. Whether or not she keeps this positive personality change remains to be seen, however.

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is out now for iOS and Android mobile devices.
