Marianne blends melee and ranged combat with her crossbow/blade hybrid weapon. The Hitwoman achievement/trophy is linked to this weapon, as you must kill multiple enemies with a single burst of bolts to unlock it. This guide will cover some valuable tips that will help you easily unlock the Hitwoman achievement/trophy in Hood: Outlaws & Legends.
How To Fire A Burst Of Bolts In Hood: Outlaws & Legends
To fire a burst of bolts as Marianne, you need to charge up a crossbow shot. If you pull the trigger, the crossbow will fire one bolt. However, if you hold the fire button down, it will charge up. You can load up to three crossbow bolts at once. To unlock Hitwoman, you need to kill multiple enemies using a single charged shot.
How To Get The Hitwoman Achievement/Trophy Easily In Hood: Outlaws & Legends
A charged crossbow shot will never be able to finish multiple enemies at full health. It would barely even kill one enemy, so don’t expect to just fire off a charged shot into a group of opponents and kill them all easily.
Pick Your Targets
Instead, you need to pick your targets and weaken them so that they are vulnerable. Firstly, make sure you are focusing on NPC guards. These are much easier to kill than enemy players, as they are much more predictable.
Crossbowmen have the least health, although regular soldiers should be easy enough to kill as well. Avoid armored guards, like knights, as these have lots of health and will be very difficult for Marianne to kill.
Weaken one guard using Marianne’s melee attack, and then make it follow you until you find another. Weaken the second guard using your melee attack as well. Once they are both on low health, try to get them near each other and then fire off your charged shot. This should finish them both off and earn you the Hitwoman achievement.
If you are struggling to get the guards to stand still, use Marianne’s smoke grenade to stun them. They won’t move whilst they are in the cloud of smoke, making them much easier targets.
Don’t Be Afraid To Ask For Help
If you have a group that you play Hood: Outlaws & Legends with, you could also ask them to deal some damage to a group of enemies before letting you finish them off. This would be much easier, as you wouldn’t need to rely on Marianne’s relatively weak melee attacks to weaken the guards.
