Updates and news have been coming in slowly for the past few years, with the production announcement of the game coming earlier this year. The lead animator for Guerilla Games, Richard Oud, and senior quest designer for Horizon Zero Dawn, Blake Rebouche, both took to Twitter to tell the internet to tune in for Sony’s expo. The PS5 announcement video was also retweeted on the Horizon Zero Dawn official Twitter account, which all but seals the deal for anyone paying attention.
Despite this scheduling setback fans are still gunning to see a 2021 release date behind Horizon Zero Dawn 2. If Sony and Guerilla Games announce anything short of a release date, they might have more to worry about than the machine uprising foretold in the first game.
