The day many Mortal Kombat 11 fans have been waiting for is finally here as the highly anticipated Aftermath expansion is now available. In a first for the franchise, Aftermath adds in an expanded narrative that picks up after the events of the base game, featuring the likes of Shang Tsung, Raiden, Sindel, and plenty of mainstay characters fans have come to expect. A free update to the game also adds in Friendships and two classic stages reimagined for the latest game in this long running series.

In addition to all of the content, Aftermath features a second Kombat Pack. While not nearly as big as past character packs, Aftermath brings back Sheeva as well as Fujin, a character last made playable 14 years ago in Mortal Kombat Armageddon. The final addition to this set is the guest character RoboCop, a classic action movie figure that brings plenty of references and tools fans would expect like his giant mech ED-209.

As one would expect, each of these characters has access to two fatalities, though upon first turning on Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath, only the first of these will be visible while the second will remain hidden until performed. Each of them can be unlocked officially by completing their first set of character towers in the Towers of Time, though this isn’t necessary to do first in order to perform them.

Controller Breakdown

In traditional fighting game movesets, the buttons are typically assigned a number. For console users, here’s what each number means for their console of choice.

  • 1 is Square for PS4 users, X on Xbox One, and Y for the Switch. 2 is Triangle for PS4 users, Y on Xbox One, and X for the Switch. 3 is X for PS4 users, A on Xbox One, and B for the Switch. 4 is O for PS4 users, B on Xbox One, and A for the Switch.

Stomp the Yard

  • At a close distance, press down, down, down, 1. With an easy fatality token, stand next to the opponent, hold block, and press 3.

Spinal Tap

  • At close range, press forward, down, down, forward, 3. With an easy fatality token, stand at mid range from the opponent, hold block, and press 4.

Fujin Fatalities

Wind Blade

  • At far distance (nearly full screen), press back, down, down, back. With an easy fatality token, stand next to the opponent, hold block, and press 3.

Twisted Twister

  • At close range press forward, back, down, 2. With an easy fatality token, stand at mid range from the opponent, hold block, and press 4.

RoboCop Fatalities

  • At close distance, press back, forward, down, down. With an easy fatality token, stand next to the opponent, hold block, and press 3.
