Fibrous Leaves are an extremely important resource in Stranded Deep, used in making everything from a knife to a bed. This is because they are used to make lashing, which is like rope in Stranded Deep. However, fibrous leaves can be difficult to find if you are new to the game and aren’t sure what to look for.

This guide will cover how to get fibrous leaves in Stranded Deep, so that you can go on to craft more complex items.

How To Get Fibrous Leaves In Stranded Deep

Unlike other popular survival games like Minecraft, Stranded Deep does not let you just start punching things with your fist. Before you can harvest fibrous leaves, you need to make a stone tool.

How To Make A Stone Tool In Stranded Deep

The stone tool is made using one rock, which should be easy enough to find. Look around on the ground of the spawn island. You should small chunks of rock scattered all over, so just grab one.

Then, open the crafting menu and make a stone tool. Equip it so that it is in your hand, and then you can start gathering fibrous leaves.

Where Do You Find Fibrous Leaves In Stranded Deep?

Fibrous Leaves are found by cutting down either Young Palm Trees or Yucca Plants. Young Palm Trees take one hit with the stone tool, whilst Yucca Plants take four. However, Yucca Plants drop more Fibrous Leaves. You will only get leaf from a Young Palm Tree.

To find Young Palm Trees, look for plants that stick out above the regular grass and bushes. Yucca Plants stand out much more, as they are taller than Young Palm Trees. Yuccas aren’t as tall as regular trees, but they are just as easy to spot.

When you find either plant, hit them with the stone tool. When the plant is destroyed, fibrous leaves will scatter across the ground.

Do Fibrous Leaves Grow Back In Stranded Deep?

Fibrous leaves do grow back in Stranded Deep, meaning the resource is renewable and you can keep collecting more. When you wake up after sleeping, look around on nearby islands. You will find that some Young Palm Trees and Yucca Plants have grown back, meaning that you are able to gather more leaves every day.

You don’t need to worry about planting anything to do this. Simply leave your shelter and look around on the ground to spot fresh plants that have grown overnight.
