We’ve seen what Sony’s shiny, new next-gen console has to offer and soon it’ll be time for Microsoft to do the same. We already have a good idea of what the latest Xbox looks like, but we don’t know what exclusive games it has that will make it a better purchase than the Playstation 5.
Well, Microsoft is going to get their chance to sway hardcore Sony fans over to their side with the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase. So if you’re still on the fence when it comes to deciding which fancy gaming box to buy this winter, here’s when and how you can see Microsoft’s next-gen presentation.
When And How You Can Watch The Xbox Games Showcase
The Xbox Games Showcase will go live on Thursday, July 23rd at 12 PM ET/9 AM PT. It’ll be Microsoft’s big summer gaming livestream that’ll introduce all of the hot launch titles coming out with the Xbox Series X along with any future exclusives.
As for how you can watch it, Microsoft will be streaming the event to just about every major streaming site. You’ll be able to watch on the Xbox Youtube, Twitch, and Facebook Gaming channels. It will also be shown on the Xbox Twitter page as well as on Xbox.com. Noticeably absent from this list is Mixer, which as we all know, will be shut down as of July 22nd, a mere day before the Xbox Games Showcase. That’s a shame.
What We Can Expect
Given that this livestream is for the new Xbox, we’re going to hearing a lot about Halo Infinite and maybe see a teaser for a new Gears title. It wouldn’t be surprising to also hear about Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 since that was so prominently featured during the original Xbox Series X announcement. And of course, there almost certainly will be a trailer for a new Forza game since nothing screams next-gen graphics like expensive cars going real fast.
On top of new games, there are rumors floating around that there’s more than one new Xbox console in the works. The Series X is supposed to be the real next-gen Xbox but then there’s the possibility of a Series S which would presumably be a more affordable gaming box. And there may be even more Xbox-related products beyond that. Currently, this is nothing more than conjecture and speculation, but perhaps we’ll find out for sure very soon.
Get Excited About The X!
There are still many questions that have yet to be answered about the Xbox Series X, so we’re sincerely hoping that Microsoft has more to show us then footage of Master Chief shotgunning Grunts in the face. So if you’re as hyped up over the new Xbox as we are, mark July 23rd on your calendars for the Xbox Games Showcase.
Who knows, maybe we’ll get a new Kameo game too.
