A product out of time, YouView needs to focus on getting services launched for its £300 set-top-box before it really pushes it on the public. Anyone buying this now might feel a little cheated. There’s not much here that you can’t get already on Freeview HD boxes and Virgin Media’s services. Even Sky manages to provide better catch-up services. But in a year, we can see the attraction. Of course, by then, this particular bit of hardware will be out of date, and so for that reason we don’t think it’s worth the investment
