To recap
Quite simply, the freetime box is an excellent piece of TV-recording hardware. The problem is, YouView beats it on on-demand, and Pure’s Avalon is a better all-around box, with superior streaming but inferior on-demand. It’s a minefield, and no one box gets it right, sadly. When 4oD and Demand 5 arrive, we’ll be thrilled.
