Not everybody owns a gaming-worthy PC, which is a hard pill to swallow when one of the best grand strategy games out there, Civilization VI, is available for free to anywone willing to use the Epic Games Store.
Luckily, the game is available for the Nintendo Switch. Even luckier still, it’s available for half its original price on the Switch’s digital game store. For $29.99, the epoch-spanning empire-building game will let you play as one of 24 different leaders of historic empires across history, from Egypt to America. Players work to gain supremacy over their opponents through force, scientific advancement, cultural dominance, or religious conversion.
Now, $29.99 may compare to the unbeatable price of free, but the Nintendo Switch version does have an advantage over the one being offered on the Epic Games Store. It comes complete with the Persian, Austrian, Macedonian and Polish civilizations, none of which are in the base game on PC. It also has scenario packs for each of these civilizations, along with a viking scenario pack.
So, if PC gaming isn’t your thing, or you just want to be able to go mobile with Civilization VI, now’s the time to buy.
