Unlike other Ubisoft games, like Assassins’ Creed Valhalla, Immortals Fenyx Rising wasn’t planned. The game comes from a bug in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey that turned people into giant cyclopses. So the devs thought it was a good idea to make a game that fully embraced Greek culture. Flash-forward to 2020, Ubisoft releases Immortals Fenyx Rising, a game filled with Greek gods, frightening mythological creatures, and the fearsome titan Tiffon.

It’s fair to say that the game was a total success, quickly gaining a huge fanbase that relishes in Fenyx Rising funny moments and shares them with other players. For more comedy and references, check out these ten memes that only a fan like you could understand.

10 That Is Not Chewing Gum

Some pictures tell more than a thousand words, and this meme represents that extra fresh experience you feel when you combine a glass of cold water with mint gum.

Despite that, this character is not eating chewing gum but blue mushrooms, an item that allows you to increase your Stamina in the game. On your adventures, you’ll find many of these consumable items. If you combine three blue mushrooms, you can make a potion; for that, you’ll need a Cauldron Circe. There are many scattered around the game (Try looking in the Hall of The Gods)

9 A copy? Or Just Reference?

So can anyone at Ubisoft explain why this game looks so similar to Zelda Breath of The Wild? And why does everything related to Greek Mythology reminds players a little bit of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey?

Well, yes, the references are clear. While the similarities with Odyssey make total sense seeing as the same team created both games, the parallels with Legend of Zelda Breath of The Wild’s gameplay are striking. The light tones, cartoon characters, puzzles, and bosses with quite similar mechanics. Although the inspiration is evident in this one, Immortals is still a game that set itself apart and has managed to win its place among gamers.

8 Immortals: A PG-13 God Of War

Remember when people compared Immortals Fenyx Rising with Breath of The Wild and Assassin’s Creed? Well, the comparisons don’t stop there, as fans found a familiar character from a way more violent Olympus. Yes, it’s Kratos from God of War.

Next to Kratos’ anger issues, Immortals seems like a PG-13 version of God of War, something much friendlier for the children. As your character in Fennyx Rising tries to help the gods in their fight against Tiffon. While Kratos, well, Kratos will murder the gods and Tiffon. Two sides of the same coin.

7 Just Five More Minutes, Then Homework

Well, there’s no doubt that this game is addictive. Greek mythology, which was studied extensively for this game, leaves players wanting more. Its culture, rich in different stories, monsters, and characters, has enchanted people for thousands of years. With Zeus and Hephaestus narrating the story, the game has a touch of comedy and fourth wall breakings that will keep you having a great time for hours.

If you add to that spectacular landscapes, intense battles, and challenging puzzles, homework almost always takes second place.

6 Adventure Time

Does this avatar look familiar? It should if you’ve seen the Fenyx Rising Commercial featuring Finn and Jake from Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time. Finn and Jake arrive in unknown territory where they face Cerberus, underworld’s three-headed dog, and, just when it seems they’re about to lose, Fenyx comes to save the day.

Ig games like Skyrim or Cyberpunk thought anyone anything, is that gamers love to mess around with character customization. No wonder someone wanted to play as the characters from Adventure Time. Finn and Jake’s stories have a kind of vibe that fits well with what this epic adventure is all about, so it’s a pretty cool reference.

5 Fenyx Is The Game Of The Year

While Immortals Fenyx Rising was only released in December, thousands of gamers have found themselves enjoying the game. Even more than other hyped AAA titles, like Cyberpunk 2077 or Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Whoever hasn’t played Fenyx Rising is missing out on an epic Greek adventure they’ll always remember.

4 Fenyx Is The Superior Game

Fenyx Rising is considered by many to be Ubisoft’s Breath of The Wild. However, if this meme is any reference, could it be that the “copy” is better than the original version? A strong opinion, yet Fenyx rising fans hope to collect enough signatures from reasserting this title superiority.

Both games are way too similar in aesthetics and gameplay. However, fans love them as separate games, giving Fenyx Rising its rightful place in Ubisoft’s Olympus of great games.

3 Everybody Loves Hercules

Immortals Fenyx Rising has several boss fights that are quite entertaining. In the game, powerful demi-gods like Achilles, Atlanta, and Odysseus get corrupted by the forces of Tiffon, and it will be your task to fight and rescue them from this spell.

But, in a roast of Greek bosses, you can’t miss the most powerful of all heroes: Herakles or Hercules as you people usually know him. Even when corrupted, his charisma is undeniable. Not even Hannah Baker from Netflix’s 13 Reason Why can resist this powerful Greek hero smile.

2 Fenyx Rising’s Victory

By now, everyone knows that Cyberpunk’s buggy performance let down the gaming community. Not even Keanu Reeves’s charisma can save this game.

Among the players’ biggest complaints were the hilarious bugs and the lack of a steady frame rate in last-gen consoles. Meanwhile, Immortals Fenyx Rising fans watch from afar as critics and players’ receptions defeat its competition. Take that, Cyberpunk!

1 King’s Peak Freezing Area

Once you have restored The Four Gods’ Essence, King’s Peak area will be unlocked. Once there, complete the first quest leads, and you’ll arrive at a location where you can collect travel points as you go.

The hard part about this area is the extreme cold that will drain your Stamina and make exploring a challenging task to do. So, before you go here, try to have at least full Stamina bars.
