Immortals Fenyx Rising is Ubisoft’s latest hit. While the massive gaming studio released a handful of games in 2020, this one, in particular, took so many people by surprise. It was fun, it had humor and heart, and its open-world mechanic was masterfully crafted.
Speaking of the game’s open-world mechanic, Immortals Fenyx Rising houses some of the best-looking locations in recent video game history. While the game isn’t exactly a technical marvel, its art direction makes the world of Immortals Fenyx Rising come alive with colors and vibrancy. There are a ton of very cool and mesmerizing places in this game, places you can visit while playing the game right now.
10 Hermes’ Secret Hideout
Hermes’ secret hideout is a place you’ve most likely discovered if you’ve played the game from start to finish, but it’s one you can’t willingly go to. In fact, this location is specifically awesome for the fact that you’re transported here in a very surprising and secretive manner.
You will get the chance to visit this place at random, while fast traveling to the Hall of the Gods. Hermes claims it was the fates themselves that put you there. Regardless, there are valuable treasures here you can loot.
9 Clashing Rocks
The Clashing Rocks is the very first area you’ll arrive at in the game. While it may simply act as a tutorial area, this location is filled with tons of powerful weapons and it even hides arguably the best mount in the game.
The location itself looks very compelling. As the first level in the game, it has the responsibility of making sure that your first impressions of the game truly lasts. It is safe to say that it delivers on that responsibility. The level is filled with petrified humans, series of islands that hold mysteries and danger, and it marks the beginning of your journey.
8 The Hall Of The Gods
The Hall of the Gods is the hub you’ll constantly return to in the game. While at first, it is only a shell of its former self, once you manage to reclaim the essence of the gods, this location will truly look magnificent and befitting of its name.
Another spectacular factor is that this location sits atop of a tall mountain. Being up here will really make you feel like a god overlooking the Earth. Besides, the fact that this is the location you constantly return to for upgrades just makes this place feel more homely.
7 Valley Of Eternal Spring
The Valley of Eternal Spring is a location that is bustling with life and beauty. Given that this is the territory of Aphrodite, this description fits the location very well. All around this location, you’ll find an abundance of plant life, flowers, streams of rivers, and more.
When players of the game refer to Immortals Fenyx Rising as a colorful game, this is one location that is a testament to that sympathy. Roaming around in this area will really give you a sense of calm and it makes you appreciate the beauty of this game as a whole.
6 Grove Of Kleos
The Grove of Kleos is Athena’s territory. The location itself looks like it has been manifested from Athena’s own intellectual brain. The Grove of Kleos is abundant with libraries and monuments, almost as if to let you know that this area belongs to none other than the Goddess of wisdom.
While not as colorful as the Valley of Eternal Spring, the Grove of Kleos looks more majestic and impressive due to its architectural display.
5 Vaults Of Tartaros
There are a ton of Vaults of Tartaros in Immortals Fenyx Rising, but they all have one thing in common: they all look splendidly cool. The backdrop of each level is a constellation-filled sky and the level design itself is top-notch. These levels were designed with puzzle-solving in mind and it’s hard to discredit the quality of each one.
No matter how many Vaults of Tartaros you’ve been to in this game, the excitement and awe still remain.
4 War’s Den
The War’s Den region is the home of the god of war himself, Ares. Looking around this area and you’ll get a glimpse of just how battle-hungry, willing, and able Ares is. It has a redder hue than the other regions, it even has the skeletal remains of a fallen dragon. If that’s not cool, then what is?
There are also a ton of monsters all-throughout this region you’ll have to deal with. Their presence only adds to the overall plus-factor of the location, though. With the game’s incredibly combat mechanic, anyone will have a blast moving around this region.
3 Gates Of Tartaros
The Gates of Tartaros is the final area in Immortals Fenyx Rising and you cannot scale this towering mountain until you reach the very final mission of the game. The location itself looks incredibly well-done. Its design is phenomenal and it really distances itself from the rest of the locations in the game.
It’s darker, harsher, and grittier, which is why it is so awesome, to begin with. Plus, the fact that it’s the final area of the game makes this location very significant, and its climb very momentous.
2 The Forgelands
The Forgelands is Hephaistos’ region, and it is by far one of the best looking areas of the game. The Forgelands is a testament to Hephaistos’ craftsmanship and his proclivity to intricacy. His very own forge is massive and very well-designed, with its mechanics complex and diverse.
It is without a doubt that a place as well-crafted as this could only be attributed to the god of smithing and masonry. Even Hephaistos’ Vault of Tartaros stands out as a more memorable endeavor than the other ones for being emotionally deeper.
1 King’s Peak
The King’s Peak, as the name implies, is the region dedicated to the king of kings, Zeus. The location itself is nothing short of grandiose. Everything in this location feels much bigger and more spectacular. It’s as if only gods are allowed to traverse this land.
The climb towards the peak is one of the game’s most memorable moments. It is also home to a lot of powerful enemies and challenging puzzles, some of them you’ll need to overcome if you’re to reach the summit. King’s Peak is the coolest looking location in the game and it’s one you’ll want to return to after you’ve traversed the land once.
