Whether you love it or hate it, Cyberpunk is an experience everyone should try for themselves at least once. While many can argue the game will get better once it’s patched out, there are some nice things worth checking out right now.

One of them is the characters. Cyberpunk 2077 has a wide array of characters for you to meet; gang members, mercenaries, and even celebrities are at your disposal. Hey, you can even date some of them! While these people look and act a certain way in the game, they have in real life talented actors working behind the curtain to make them shine; here are some of them.

10 V - Gavin Drea And Cherami Leigh

V, whose real name is Vincent or Valerie, is the game’s protagonist. This being a game where choices matter, players can customize V’s gender, voice, appearance, and Lifepath history.

While how V looks like is entirely up to you. In real life, female V is Cherami Leigh; she played Asuna in Sword Art Online and Niya in WoW: Shadowlands. V’s male counterpart is played by Gavin Drea, who has worked in big-screen movies like Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.

9 Johnny Silverhand - Keanu Reeves

Johnny is a very well known figure in Cyberpunk’s Night City. He is known for being ambitious, irrational, impulsive, and a big manipulator; still, he’ll be the one to guide V during their journey in the city, haunting him or her with his digital form. So good luck with that.

Silverhand is not only a central character in the game, but his voice actor is no other than a famous and extraordinary human being, Keanu Reeves. You can bet CD Projekt RED milked the heck out of this celebrity appearance while marketing their game. In case you don’t know him, Reeves has worked in well-known movies like The Matrix and John Wick.

8 Judy Alvarez - Carla Tessara

Judy is quickly becoming a fan-favorite character. She’s a skilled braindance technician and member of the Moxes. This green-haired girl is also a romance option if you want to, though she is only interested in female V, sorry guys.

Carla Tessara lent her voice to Judy. Tessara is an actress who worked in other video games like The Last of Us: Part II, Red Dead Redemption II, and Fallout 4 as Knight Lucia and Katherine Pinn.

7 River Ward - Robbie Daymond

River is a romanceable option and a character that’s easy to miss if you’re not paying attention; you can encounter this NCPD detective during the second story arc.

In real life, River is voiced by Robbie Daymond, an American voice actor known to have worked on animations, audiobooks, and video games. He worked in the English dub of big anime titles like Sailor Moon (as Mamoru Chiba / Tuxedo Mask) and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure (as Smokey Brown). Cyberpunk isn’t his first video game rodeo; you can spot Daymons’s voice in games like Yakuza: Like a Dragon (as Tianyou Zhao) or Bugsnax (as Buffalocust).

6 Panam Palmer - Emily Woo Zeller

Panam is a troubled character who is conflicted by her previous actions; she cut ties with her nomad family and decided to move to Night City to live a more independent life as a mercenary. Although she abandoned the Aldecaldos, Panam still maintains a strong relationship with its people.

Emily Woo Zeller is real life’s Panam. She is an Audie award-winning actor, voiceover artist, dancer, and singer, known for working in other video games like The Last of Us: Part II and TV series like Pokémon’s Poketto monsutâ.

5 Dexter DeShawn - Michael-Leon Wooley

In Night City, Dexter is known as a Fixer, one of the best out there, besides Rogue. At the start of the game, nobody has heard from him for quite some time, but later, he re-appears in the city.

Michael-Leon Wooley helped bring Dexter to life. You can see Wooley’s previous works in Disney’s Princess and The Frog, as Louis. He also played Judge Grady on the radio station WKTT in Grand Theft Auto IV.

4 Delamain - Samuel Barnett

More than a character, Delamain is an AI. In Cyberpunk’s world, Delamain is a transportation service that offers taxi rides to and from anywhere in Night City for a price, and an AI drives these taxis.

This AI is voiced by Samuel Barnett, an English actor who’s worked on stage, film, television, and radio. Some of his previous work includes TV series Penny Dreadful and Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency. Barnett also worked in other video games like Amnesia: Rebirth as Richard Fairchild.

3 Lizzy Wizzy - Grimes

Lizzy Wizzy is not only a super famous celeb but also has an exciting story. She is a singer who committed suicide live on stage as part of her performance; she was clinically dead for an hour, and during that time, the doctors replaced her body with cyberware. After that, she finished her concert in the new body, as one does.

Lizzy is voiced by Cyberpunk’s other well-known celebrity, Grimes. Yes, Elon Musk’s baby mama. Just like her character, Grimes is a singer. She dives into different genres, like art-pop, synth-pop, dream pop, R&B, electronic music, and hip hop. Grimes has a unique aesthetic, so casting her as Lizzy Wizzy makes total sense.

2 Kerry Eurodyne - Matthew Yang King

Another romanceable option, Kerry, is a central character in the game and the vocals and lead/rhythm guitar for chrome rock band, Samurai. He’s a celebrity in the city and shared the stage with no other than Johnny Silverhand.

In real life, Kerry is voiced by Matthew Yang King. You can recognize this American actor from TV series Riverdale (as Marty Mantle) or video games like Mortal Kombat 11 (as Liu Kang and Fujin), Final Fantasy VII Remake, and Mafia: Definitive Edition.

1 Jackie Welles - Jason Hightower

Jackie is one of the first characters players meet; he is V’s early contact point and aids players during several missions. While he is now a mercenary, Jackie started as a Valentino member, but he later left the gang due to his mother finding out.

Jason Hightower voices Jackie; he is not only an actor but also a writer who’s worked in projects like Legends of Runeterra (as Dauntless Vanguard), Red Dead Redemption II, Final Fantasy XV: Episode Ardyn, and Fallout 76.
