If you’re looking for a psychological horror that will keep you up at night, be sure to check out In Sound Mind, an upcoming title from the creators of Nightmare House 2. Developed by We Create Stuff, published by Modus Games, and featuring some sick original music by The Living Tombstone, In Sound Mind explores the most frightening place of all - your own mind. The game received a brand new trailer at yesterday’s PC Gaming Show 2020 and a demo is now available to download via Steam.
In this game, players find themselves alone in a strange building, with no recollection of how they got there or where they are. As players explore, they soon discover bodies upon bodies of people who have been exposed to a dangerous chemical of some sort. Players must figure out what’s going on, making sure to keep a sane mind as they encounter one psychological thrill after another.
In Sound Mind features a number of “frenetic puzzles” players will need to solve in order to advance through the game, as well as “unique boss fights” to prepare for and encounter. As they encounter each victim, they’ll also discover a series of unnerving stories and backgrounds that they’ll have to stomach in order to make it through.
We Create Games warns players that they’ll have to prepare to “expect the unexpected,” as they’ll never be truly alone in this eerie house. From mannequins that come to life, a cat named Tonia who becomes your companion, and more surprises in store, get ready for a thrill. And for those who are wondering, We Create Games has officially clarified that players can, in fact, pet the cat.
Though the majority of the game is still under wraps, interested players can already download and play a demo of the game on Steam.
In Sound Mind will be released in early 2021 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam. Interested players can play a demo on Steam now and can visit the game’s official website to learn more about the title and stay up to date on all the latest information.
