Like most online games, Call of Duty: Warzone is not without its bugs and technical issues. Developer Infinity Ward will be addressing these problems in future updates, and it has since outlined four specific changes that will be coming to Call of Duty: Warzone at some point soon.
The four Call of Duty: Warzone bugs identified by Infinity Ward include an issue where players see “full-screen black corruption” when simply walking on the Warzone map, an issue where players are told that their squad can still revive them even after everyone is dead, an issue where players don’t drop items when they disconnect from a match, and a bug where players get stuck in an animation when canceling a revive attempt.
It’s unclear exactly how common these Warzone bugs are, but anecdotally, we can say that they have not been encountered during our time with the game. None of them seem to have gotten that much attention on Warzone community forums either, so it seems like they’re not terribly common bugs. Regardless, it’s good that Infinity Ward is identifying and working to fix technical issues in Warzone, even if they aren’t impacting every player.
Besides bug fixes, Call of Duty: Warzone players should have a lot more to look forward to in future updates for the game. It’s likely that Infinity Ward will add new content like weapons and items to Warzone, as well as possibly make changes to the battle royale map, as other games in the genre have done. It’s also possible that Warzone will add new game modes besides the standard battle royale and Plunder mode that are currently available.
It seems likely that major Warzone updates will coincide with the updates for the standard Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. So when Modern Warfare Season 2 ends and Season 3 begins, Warzone fans can likely look forward to new content for their game as well. It’s also possible that big Warzone updates will be staggered with Modern Warfare seasonal updates to spread things out a bit more, but that remains to be seen.
Infinity Ward will share more information on Call of Duty: Warzone updates and changes in the near future. In the meantime, fans can just focus on mastering the battle royale as it is in its current state.
Call of Duty: Warzone is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
