Developer NetherRealm hosts a livestream and says that the first wave of Injustice 2 beta invites are going out, plus new footage of the superhero fighter debuts.

Last week, NetherRealms studio head Ed Boon teased (then confirmed) that a beta would be coming for the developer’s new super hero fighting game, Injustice 2. And in what probably comes as a surprise to many fans, the beta is already here. Just five days after beta signups started, NetherRealms says the first wave of beta invites have gone out.

Anyone who signed up for the Injustice 2 beta may want to keep an eye on their email inboxes, as that is how they will get their codes. And if a code has not shown up yet, fans shouldn’t fret; NetherRealms says it will continue to send out more beta codes as time goes by. Also, beta sign ups remain open for anyone interested.

According to Destructoid, the Injustice 2 beta will be active as soon as players get their codes and will last for an entire month. The beta will feature four playable characters: Batman, Supergirl, Superman, and Atrocitus. There’s also a possibility that there will be more DC Comics characters added to the beta as it goes on. The beta is limited to North America and is available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

In addition to announcing the start of the Injustice 2 beta and codes going out, NetherRealms showed off a new gameplay trailer for Injustice 2, featuring the Boy Wonder himself, Robin:
