Ricardo Mota has recently being promoting footage featuring some gameplay from the upcoming indie tactical shooter Thunder Tier One. The clips detail how players will deal with combat and physical restrictions by using the computer’s A.I.

The game developer and PR for the top-down game emphasized the importance of stealth when you are moving with your team through hostile grounds. Developed by FragOut Studio, the teams consists of a PL/animator, gameplayer and network programmer, an AI programmer and two artists that have all brought this shooter to life via Unreal Engine 4. The game features both single player and co-op action, where a bulk of the successful mission lies in teamwork.

The devs from FragOut released a Twitter clip back in 2017 that shows the creators experimenting with the foliage in the game and how certain explosions and gunfire would effect the movement of these natural surroundings. The clip gave gamers a glimpse of the various terrain that would be featured within the game as they flattened some tall grass with a military truck. Although the players view is relatively far from the action, the programming done within Unreal Engine 4 successfully manages to retain a lot of the landscape and character detail from afar.

Many gamers seemed keen to try this game genre that featured another format that differed from first or third-person shooter. Moving slow and quietly is definitely the key approach when aiming to complete objectives as, with any good stealth game, this stops those pesky alarms from being raised. A main feature to the game is character customization where players can achieve that personal touch by building there own character before deploying to face the enemy. The point of view seems similar to Mimimi Games’ style of strategy titled where players are given an isometric view of the gameplay to focus on planning ahead.

Thunder Tier One allows the player to manage many events located throughout the world. Set between 1987 and 1989, the game offers you the chance to be a true leader and exert all your skills as a combatant into a swift form of attack. Leadership and tactical skills are a must when leading comrades through the unknown, but with some experience the player’s plight could be a success. The game is loosely based on events surrounding the special forces of that time period that involves reclaiming HVT from behind enemy lines, infiltrating and capturing top-tier enemy troops.

Thunder Tier One is coming soon to Steam
