A twitter exchange between two important video game personalities has fans convinced that a Daredevil game is finally in development.

A viral tweet made by @jmdornbush asked fans to comment with their dream superhero game and which developer they’d like to see make it. Tops comments mention everything from a Remedy-made Dcotor Strange to a Naughty Dog-made Wolverine, but one cheeky comment has sent comic fans into a total frenzy.

Accomplished voice actor (Joel from The Last of Us) gave a wink and a nudge to Bill Rosemann, head Marvel Games, to which Rosemann responded with Daredevil’s famous nickname, “A Man Without Fear.”

The exchange caught fire online. Speculation about a Daredevil game has been a hot topic as of late thanks to a leak on 4Chan that claimed a Daredevil game is in development and that the game will take place in Chicago. 4Chan leaks are, of course, dubious at best, but with this new hint from Marvel’s Bill Rosemann, suddenly, people want to believe the Daredevil game is actually happening.

Troy has always been a Daredevil fan. In multiple Reddit AMAs (even as far back as 2015) Troy has told fans that he would love to play Daredevil in a video game.

Unfortunately, Bill was quick to clarify the situation. In a tweet, Bill explained that he simply shared Troy’s enthusiasm for creating a Daredevil game, not that one was actually in development.

Speculation aside, Troy didn’t specifically say Daredevil in his Tweet to Bill. Does Bill Rosemann just know that Troy is a big Daredevil fan? Have they had conversations about a Daredevil game? Bill was quick to put the speculation to rest, but that doesn’t mean that’s the full story, either.

Regardless, Marvel games are stronger and more popular than they’ve ever been right now. Marvel’s Spider-Man was a runaway hit on PS4 lin 2018 and Marvel’s Avengers, scheduled for September 4th, is one of the most highly-anticipated games of the year.

Finally, Marvel’s Iron Man VR has hit a bit of a rough patch with repeated delay. Just recently it was once again pushed from May 15th to July 3rd. When last we played it at Pax West 2019 it was in great shape, so we’re hopefully the game will turn out to be a smash it.
