Last month, a wave of violence struck Gaza after Palestinians protested the forced eviction of six local families. Israeli airstrikes in the area led to the deaths of 256 Palestinians–66 of which were children–along with millions in damages to Palestinian businesses, schools, and hospitals.

In the wake of this terrible news, Toadhouse Games founder Alanna Linayre organized the Itch.io Solidarity Bundle for Palestine, a collection of almost 1,200 games for the low price of $5. The bundle started at 700 titles, including critically acclaimed indie gems like Minit, Underhero and Cook, Serve, Delicious 2, but eventually grew by another 500 as more developers signed on.

Last week, the bundle hit $500,000 in sales, and over the weekend the Solidarity Bundle for Palestine closed out at $902,365,51 raised from 97,163 contributors. All proceeds from the bundle were donated to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, which brings food and emergency medical care to Palestinians in Gaza.

Itch continues to be a phenomenal platform for both great deals and great causes. Last year’s Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality raised $8.1 million for Black Lives Matter charities helping to end violent racial oppression in America and around the world.
