Becoming a content creator on YouTube is a dream for many people these days, even if those people already have a massive fan base they’ve established through decades-long acting careers. Such is the case with Jack Black, who recently started his own gaming channel, Jablinski Games. The actor launched the channel a few weeks ago and quickly hit millions of subscribers without much relevant content. Now, however, Jablinski has finally uploaded a video featuring actual gameplay, though it may not be what fans were expecting.

The gameplay video starts off by showing Jack Black “playing” Fortnite, but it becomes apparent rather quickly that Jack Black isn’t actually at the helm. The actor starts using a single hand to control the gameplay, firing off bullets without ever actually pulling the trigger, all while the gameplay features mouse and keyboard prompts. He then drops the comedic bit and reveals why the channel hasn’t actually uploaded any gameplay yet, stating that he simply hasn’t figured out how to use the El Gato capture card and needs an HDMI cable. Black then promises gameplay next week, tenaciously guaranteeing fans what they’ve been hoping for all along.

The video doesn’t stop there, though. Black shows off some classic gaming hardware he’s apparently collected over the years, giving viewers a peek at a Vectrex, an early home console from the 1980s, and Push ‘Em Up Big 5, a pinball machine from the 1920s. The two machines are pretty neat, and it would actually be pretty cool for Jablinski to keep uploading content about classic games, systems, and arcade machines like they did with their last video.

It’ll be interesting to see what Jack Black produces when he does finally get around to capturing real gameplay. It’s pretty likely that he’ll wind up actually playing Fortnite at some point, as it’s currently the most watched game on the market, but nothing appears to be outside the realm of possibility. Of course, Jack Black’s channel probably won’t wind up being the best gameplay channel on the internet, but the actor may be able to at least turn it into a tribute to the best gaming channel in the world.
