In light of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, movies have been getting delayed left and right. And now Jackass 4 can be added to the list of delayed movies, with Paramount pushing the film’s date back by about four months. The Jackass 4 movie will now premiere in theaters on July 2, 2021 instead of its previously announced release date of March 5, 2021.

Paramount hasn’t elaborated on why Jackass 4 has been delayed, so it’s possible that the movie has gotten pushed back for reasons other than the coronavirus. In any case, not much is known about Jackass 4 at the time of this writing beyond its new release date and one returning star.

Jackass 4 will once again feature Johnny Knoxville in a major role, who will be performing a variety of dangerous stunts and hidden camera pranks. It’s unclear if any of the other Jackass movie stars will be reuniting with Knoxville on Jackass 4. It’s also unknown if frequent Knoxville collaborator and Jackass director Jeff Tremaine will be returning for Jackass 4, either. More details should come to light as we get closer to the film’s July 2, 2021 release date.

Jackass 4 is far from the only movie to get a delay recently. A variety of other films have also been pushed back, including Disney’s MCU films. It’s uncertain when movie theaters will be able to start operating like normal again, so it’s possible even more movie delays are in store in the near future.

Jackass 4 will premiere in theaters on July 2, 2021.
