It looks like Mortal Kombat 11 is trying to steal a bit of thunder from the Predator: Hunting Grounds free trial weekend as NetherRealm Studios announces a new skin for Jacqui Briggs based on the Alien series. The new outfit features a jumpsuit that is heavily inspired in theme by the one worn by Ellen Ripley aboard the Nostromo ship in the first film from 1979.
The new skin looks great, and even Briggs’ gauntlets fit perfectly into the theme of the outfit. The tweet also hints that we will be seeing an Alien skin for D’Vorah, as the poster says “Kytinn” at the top, referring to the Kytinn sentient race of insect humanoids to which the character belongs. The facehugger eggs and small insects floating about can all be linked back to D’Vorah in theme.
An Alien skin would likely be the most that fans could hope for in Mortal Kombat 11, since the licenced xenomorph character already appeared as a guest in the previous installment of the game, and it would be odd to see a repeat so soon.
For now, there is no clue as to when D’Vorah might be getting a skin like this. The newest skin for Briggs comes as part of the Matinee Skin Pack, which can be purchased now for $5.99 USD or free for Kombat Pack owners.
