India has a PUBG problem. Some areas in the country have outright banned PUBG, with some organizations declaring PUBG addiction worse than drug addiction in the country. India’s PUBG problem was highlighted recently in a viral video, originating on the video hosting app Tik Tok, that shows an Indian groom ignoring his wife and guests at his wedding so that he can play PUBG Mobile. In the video, the groom is shown playing PUBG on his phone, not looking at or speaking to his wife....

Grounded’s Shroom & Doom update is coming on June 30 and adds achievements to the game, as well as fan-requested features like sitting. The Shroom & Doom update was featured as part of Microsoft’s E3 2021 showcase, and revealed new things coming to Grounded, which is still under development and considered as early access. One of the major things added to Grounded in this update is Achievements, but the list is pretty exhaustive....

The Vinewood Casino in Grand Theft Auto Online has had an “opening soon” sign displayed on it since the online multiplayer action-adventure game launched back in 2013, and following recent teases and data mines on the matter, it seems that the casino is now set to open soon. GTA Online is finally getting a casino, and thanks to a new trailer, we know that it will open on July 23, 2019....

Square Enix has confirmed Guardians of the Galaxy will not include any microtransactions, nor will it be getting any DLC. Square Enix’s E3 presentation was one of the most anticipated of the entire weekend, and it didn’t disappoint. Well, it didn’t for some people. One of the biggest takeaways from it was that the rumors are true. Rather than shy away from making Marvel games following the ongoing work-in-progress that is Marvel’s Avengers, Square is diving in headfirst and releasing a Guardians of the Galaxy game later this year....

Gwent is an official overhaul of the card game that features in The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt. It’s already been out for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, iOS, and Android since 2018, but CD Projekt RED has just now announced its official Steam release. The game’s Steam release allows for cross-play and synchronization with other versions of the game, so you’ll get to compete with players who are using a different platform from your own....

It has been a little over a month since launching its open beta on PlayStation 4 and H1Z1: Battle Royale has reached an impressive milestone. The third-person free-to-play battle royale shooter has crossed a staggering 10 million players on the console. The H1Z1: Battle Royale open beta will continue until an official launch later this year, with Daybreak Games continuing to release updates throughout. The 10 million number is especially impressive given the initial numbers Daybreak shared regarding H1Z1’s launch on PS4....

Cortana is one of the characters that players were introduced to through the Halo franchise. A recent leak posits that Harvest Moon: Mad Dash is coming to Xbox One in the near future, a claim that would make history for the franchise if true. The leak comes by way of True Achievement, which claims it found the achievements list for the Xbox One version of the game. If the leak is to be believed, it will release for that console this month on August 21st....

It’s been nearly a week since Ubisoft Montreal’s daring stand-alone expansion Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon exploded onto the gaming scene, packed with over-the-top language and violence, and almost too many 80s references to count. Sci-fi legend Michael Biehn appears to have reclaimed his title and returned to the spotlight, his presence in the game surrounded by a cult following of its own. While it’s safe to say no one at Ubisoft could have guessed how successful Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon would become, Biehn claims in a recent interview that its sales have far exceeded their expectations, and creative director Dean Evans is already on the path to making a sequel....

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is a game that sets out to accomplish a lot. Ninja Theory is taking a stand with this title and attempting to prove that a short, compact AAA level game can be more rewarding that a feature length title that lacks the shine of a big studio production. In addition, the developer is carefully trying to represent mental illness tactfully and use it as a core gameplay theme without crossing the line and becoming offensive or exploitative....

Hitman games have always rewarded creativity and multiple playthroughs, but IO Interactive is taking things to the next level with Hitman 3. Dubbed Persistent Shortcuts, this new feature allows you unlock various access points throughout each level that will remain open during subsequent playthroughs. A video from Game Informer highlights the new mechanic, which primarily consists of unlocking ladders to access previously restricted sections. For example, on your first playthrough you might spend a good chunk of time simply navigating the map, trying to reach your target undetected....
