Back in 1999 as the first X-Men film was developed and produced, executive producer Lauren Shuler Donner promoted a 26-year-old assistant in her office to the role of associate producer on the movie, thanks to his encyclopedic knowledge of the Marvel Comics universe from which the X-Men had sprung. That associate producer’s name was Kevin Feige, and based off his work on X-Men, he was hired by then-Marvel Studios head Avi Arad as his second in command....

Zachtronics recently announced its newest video game: Möbius Front ‘83, a military tactical TBS wargame scheduled for a November 5 release date for PC, Mac, and Linux. In fact, the English voice actor for Genshin Impact’s new character – Albedo – took 37 attempts before finally nailing the line. Albedo is one of the main characters in Genshin Impact’s latest expansion, Dragonspire. Mihoyo describes him as a “young yet legendary genius alchemist in Mondstadt, wielding a sword and the power of geo.” A trailer for the character also shows him wielding a paintbrush, while his voice actor struggles behind the scenes to properly pronounce “brush strokes....

It looks as if the Entertainment Software Rating Board (more commonly known as ESRB) has outed the imminent re-release of all the original Jak and Daxter games for PlayStation 4, with the organization having given new ratings for the titles initially developed by Naughty Dog. However, while the fresh listing of the platformers on the ESRB’s website shows them as being PS4 titles, there’s nothing on the page to indicate exactly when the games would be re-released for Sony’s current generation console....

Slitherine Games Ltd. recently revealed actual gameplay of its upcoming single-player RTS Starship Troopers - Terran Command. Two videos made up the reveal; a short in-game segment, and a longer developer-hosted livestream that was broadcast on Slitherine’s Twitch and YouTube channels. Contained within the livestream gameplay reveal was the announcement for the game’s Open Beta phase, inviting interested gamers to sign up to possibly be recruited as a playtester. Those who do get selected for this prestigious opportunity will have to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), with the phase currently scheduled to begin in the next month or two....

Valve’s flagship VR game Half-Life: Alyx seems to have helped create a million new VR users since the game’s release on 23rd March 2020. Half-Life: Alyx was received with much praise from both critics and fans, who were finally gifted with a follow-up to the painfully abrupt ending of Half-Life 2: Episode 2 13 years ago. On Alyx’s launch day alone there were 43, 000 concurrent users recorded playing the game, which is impressive but certainly a lower number than if the game weren’t a VR-exclusive one....
