It was revealed during Nintendo’s most recent financial report that Animal Crossing: New Horizons has sold 13.41 million copies around the world. Despite this, the game has yet to crack the top five best-selling Nintendo Switch games. It’s possible that Animal Crossing: New Horizons will make it next time, as those amazing sales numbers came from the first few weeks of the game’s release....

Patrick Munnik, the lead producer at Guerrilla Games and an important figure in the development of numerous recent games, has passed away at the age of 44 on June 10. The news came initially from a Twitter post by Guerrilla Games with a memorial and other tweets to the producer. Map design is an incredibly important aspect of any multiplayer shooter. Bad map design usually causes a hatred that’s on par with being sent to the back of the line of the DMV for the third time. Activision wants to reassure players that Modern Warfare 3 maps will be a lot more fast-paced and free flowing - which will, hopefully, stem the ability to camp. Grand Theft Auto San Andreas was an interesting exploration of the seedy underbelly of gangs, crime, and drug trafficking. There were a lot of unique mechanics and unbelievable amounts of freedom in an open world. Yet there was a lot cut from this game before it hit the store shelves.
