Things aren’t looking good for Silent Hills. The highly anticipated game lost one of its two producers: about a month ago, Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima split with Konami, Silent Hills’ publisher, and the company quickly removed Kojima’s name from Silent Hills’ marketing materials. Combine that with the announcement that P.T., Silent Hills’ surreal interactive trailer, will be removed from the PlayStation Store in a couple of days, and overall picture looks pretty dismal....

The Hades fans who want to experience more of Zagreus’ adventures could be out of luck, as the developers seemingly won’t be working on new content for the game for a long time. Hades started out as an Early Access title on PC in 2018. The game gradually received new content updates over the following two years, before it was announced during a Nintendo event that it was leaving Early Access and coming to the Switch that day....

Half-Life: Alyx is the game that fans of the series waited over a decade for. The Half-Life title is extremely innovative, especially because it’s a VR game. For a game that was so long-awaited, there were a lot of things that hit the nail on the head but a good amount of things were also not as well received. Hopefully in the future mods will be created that will help solve some of the issues with Alyx....

Fans of the Halo series, specifically those who have digitally preordered the latest installment of the futuristic shooter, may be pleased to know that Halo 5: Guardians is now available for pre-load. This means that everyone who ordered a copy of the game from the Xbox Store can now download the game files so that it is ready to launch the second it unlocks on October 27th. His Dark Materials got three books to tell its story, and now the adaptation is getting its very own third, and concluding installment. The novels, written by Philip Pullman, were adapted by the BBC and HBO into two seasons of television which has just been renewed for the last time, confirming that the show is likely to continue along the path set by the novels, more or less mirroring the original plot....

It only takes a single glance at the Steam marketplace to see how quickly the open-world zombie survival genre has proliferated. Following the success of DayZ it seems as though everyone is trying to get their own iteration to the table to help feed the masses. Fans were disappointed that a series focused on tough choices would reduce a critical moment – the ending of the game – to three simplified options. BioWare even agreed with some of those criticisms and sought to improve the endings through an update. Still, the damage had seemingly been done and fans’ feelings about the Mass Effect franchise had soured....

The Sims 4 has been around for over six years now, with many patches and packs being released during that time.
