The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild released in 2017 as a launch title for the Nintendo Switch and since then, fans have been clamoring for a follow-up to the game. Breath of the Wild 2 is on the way and could possibly release sometime this year in honor of Zelda’s 35th anniversary, but to make the wait a bit easier, Nintendo collaborated with Koei Tecmo and Omega Force to create a prequel title to Breath of the Wild....

Riot has released the patch notes for VALORANT patch 1.14, which hits live servers today. Sage is the only agent to receive any changes, undergoing an update to her Barrier Orb wall. Icebox, the game’s newest map, has received many changes to the height of certain structures, mostly around the A bombsite. Sage, VALORANT’s powerful healer, has received many nerfs in the last few months. Today’s update targets her Barrier Orb wall, one of the most effective abilities at stopping enemies in their tracks....

Late Vampire Chronicles author Anne Rice was never completely onboard with the 1994 film adaptation of her book: Interview with the Vampire, which starred Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. Taking issue with casting and other certain liberties, Rice ultimately endorsed it, but denounced its 2002 sequel, Queen of the Damned, with Aaliyah in the title role. Rice and her son Christopher have been involved with AMC’s Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire through its own tortured journey to series adaptation, so it seems any changes to the source material come with tacit pre-approval....

A new car introduced to Grand Theft Auto Online costs almost $1 million in in-game cash, but a bug prevents it from turning left. The Infernus Classic is just one of several new updates to the online multiplayer mode that caters to racing fans, with the Cunning Stunts: Special Vehicle Circuit expansion proving a hit with virtual petrolheads. The development team 343 Industries has revealed a host of updates coming in a first flight for Halo: The Master Chief Collection. For those unfamiliar with the collection, a first flight is a type of beta that exists to test features. Hollywood has attempted to adapt Microsoft’s Halo franchise for years, with little success until Showtime’s live-action Halo TV series, which is set to premiere at some point in 2021. Prior to Showtime’s adaptation, a variety of major directors were considered for a Halo film adaptation, including Academy Award-winning director Guillermo del Toro. Few games have had as much of an impact in the last few months as Among Us. The social deduction game challenges a team of players to figure out which of them is an alien impostor. It neatly packages themes of trust and betrayal into a fun, mostly harmless party game. Among Us has claimed the party game Mafia and the John Carpenter thriller The Thing as inspirations. But an episode of The Twilight Zone that predates both might be the best on-screen representation of the game itself....

Bungie continues to deliver exciting news that will change the face of Destiny 2 with the fast-approaching arrival of the Beyond Light expansion.
