Infinite is a throwback to classic Halo multiplayer experiences in many ways, which means that it’s pretty different from a lot of the most popular multiplayer shooters on the market today....

A new report has revealed that medical experts are now saying that video games, such as Fortnite, can be as addictive as heroin. It also claims that health experts believe that it can negatively impact a child’s brain development, saying that “the thing about these games is it gets kids’ dopamine systems involved—and it releases addictive chemicals which are very similar to drug addiction.” The report continued to explain how tests were performed on teenage boys, with one extreme example of a player who admitted to having kept playing Fortnite as a tornado devastated his neighborhood and was only forced to stop when power lines came down....

The Sims 4 is certainly shaking things up for Maxis, with plenty of big changes improving upon the previous generation. For starters, neighborhoods seem to now be split into different ‘zones’ which are loaded separately and marked by dotted lines, something likely left over from the days when it was still under consideration to be an online title. Recently, it was revealed that The Sims 4 was losing two longstanding features, and this caused some confusion amongst fans - but Maxis was quick to put out an explanation....

Hideo Kojima is one of the more enigmatic creators in the video game world, and a lot of questions remain unanswered for his forthcoming game Death Stranding. Many fans of the developer were hoping to learn new information about the project tonight at The Game Awards, but it appears that Kojima won’t be in attendance–or at least says he won’t be. In a post on Twitter, Kojima congratulated The Game Awards founder and host Geoff Keighley, wishing him luck on the show, and apologizing that he couldn’t make it this year....

It’s been a harrowing month for Hitman developer Io-Interactive, which had been facing the possibility of being forced to close or sold off completely. Last month, Square Enix announced that it was looking to sell off the Danish studio, which also put the popular Hitman series in doubt as well.
