Although Injustice 2’s official release date isn’t supposed to occur until next week, one lucky fan seems to have received their copy of NetherRealm Studios’ DC Comics-inspired fighting game early, and they have decided to take advantage of the situation by posting several images of the title’s Premier skins. As it happens, each of the skins take existing heroes and villains from the game and alter their appearance so that they look and sound like completely different characters from the DC Universe....

Dark, complex and inventive, it’ll satisfy traditionalists and pacify any viewers unimaginative enough to be distressed by this show’s genre-roaming spirit....

Insomniac Games is one of the most well-known and highly-regarded developers around, and they didn’t just earn that reputation overnight. This is a company that established a name for itself with Spyro the Dragon and spread out to other franchises such as Ratchet & Clank and Resistance. Of course, there are quite a few fans who would absolutely love to get their hands on just one more Spyro game made by Insomniac, but unfortunately for them that dream may never become a reality....

Sword and Shield players frustrated by Isle of Armor’s Diglett challenge have been discovering an unexpected advantage to undertaking the task. Eight months on from the release of Pokémon Sword and Shield and the games are on track to become the third fastest-selling titles in Pokémon history. Deservedly so as despite the limited Pokédex, which caused quite a stir in 2019, the Galar-based games are pretty terrific. Plus, more than 200 Pokémon were added to Sword and Shield this month via the Isle of Armor expansion....

The French game studio Spiders is starting to develop a unique identity. In 2019, it released GreedFall, an action RPG about fictional seafaring nations arriving on an island filled with treasure and magic and attempting to colonize it. It’s up to the player to decide whether they want to choose one of the many factions competing for control of the island or to help the island’s natives fight back. It reads as a pretty clear historical allegory for the Age of Exploration, when European nations traveled the globe in search of land in wealth....

Gwent’s Winter Holiday event begins today and will run until January 5, giving you access to new game modes and exclusive holiday-themed rewards. Logging in each day, tackling daily quests, and winning matches during the event will provide you with a ton of new rewards, including “winter-themed ornaments such as cardbacks, borders, avatars, and player titles.” Each week leading up to January 5 you’ll also find special games modes like Dual Casting and Battle Rush....

So now, with the second part of his Halloween trilogy on the way, any hint of skepticism has been replaced with pure excitement. Green reckons the renewed interest in the genre is a sign of the times. “I feel like there’s always these waves, culturally, right?” he says, speaking to Den of Geek almost two years since Halloween Kills began filming. “One of the things I’ve talked to fans of Halloween about a lot is the ways that this [franchise] moves from some of the traditional movie monsters that are a little bit more supernatural–your vampires and your werewolves–to things that are more immediately relatable and realistic within the world that we live in....

With Halo Infinite right around the corner, it’s high time to take a look at the ways the Halo games have changed over the years. After all, the series began with a knockout premise that helped push it into the annals of gaming history, and it remains a franchise with almost twenty years under its belt, at this point. Halo is well known to be one of the most popular first-person franchises, and many people are waiting eagerly for Halo: Infinite. Microsoft announces that at least $1.5 million has been made from Halo 5: Guardians’ controversial microtransactions, which allow players to spend money on REQ Packs. When Halo 5: Guardians landed on Xbox One last year, it introduced players to the Requisition System (often shortened to REQ System). This offers players of the game’s multiplayer mode the chance to spend points earned during matches on REQ Packs which in turn provide new weapons and gear....

Patch 17.2 is live in Hearthstone and brings with it the tiniest Warlock you ever did see, changes to the Battlegrounds, and quality of life improvements to the client and Zephrys the Great. For starters, Nemsy Necrofizzle is available in the in-game shop and is free for all players between May 12-19. The Gnome Warlock skin was first released in October of 2017 but could not be purchased, only gained by attending certain Fireside Gatherings....

You can watch, but you may not want to try these at home. Heist, Netflix’s new crime-docuseries, makes it look very tempting to go for the big money grab. Whether it comes in paper or bottles, bushels or barrels, cash is king, and it is fun to be a kingpin. Living large on illicit funds is a blast. Pursuit is inevitable. Capture is probable. Jail is doable. Especially if there is some money stashed away....
