Cars have finally arrived in Fortnite, bringing a fresh way to travel to Epic’s genre-defining Battle Royale. The new patch, fittingly named the Joy Ride Update, adds four vehicles for players to fight over. These Fortnite cars can be driven by any player who finds one, and can even play music from their radios. Unfortunately, Fortnite’s latest vehicles don’t run on Resources, so players will need to keep their ride topped up to function....

Insomniac Games has confirmed on Twitter that the upcoming Ratchet & Clank sequel will be exclusive to the PlayStation 5. Yesterday, a Ratchet & Clank fan asked Insomniac if the new game, Rift Apart, will have a PS4 version or if it will only be on PS5. The Insomniac Games Twitter account responded definitively: It’s a PS5 exclusive. It was a question worth asking, given what we already know about the release plan for next-gen games....

Grand Theft Auto has a really grim reputation outside of the gamer world, with people linking it to real life shootings and tragedies. Frankly, I believe that you can’t really blame the game for this outcry. Hannibal star Mads Mikkelsen has been discussing his hopes for a potential fourth season of the show just weeks after its creator, Bryan Fuller, revealed how he would approach reviving the serial killer drama. In Fuller’s adaptation of Thomas Harris’ Hannibal Lecter book series, which was canceled five years ago at NBC, Mikkelsen starred as the titular character alongside Hugh Dancy as Will Graham. The brilliantly deranged show went on to develop an ever-increasing cult following who would frankly love to see everyone’s favorite ‘murder husbands’ back for Season 4....
Hasbro is bringing back a nostalgic series for its new toy line. No, not that one. Not that one either. It’s Beast Wars, the rather polarizing 90’s Transformers spinoff that ditched the modern vehicle gimmick in favor of animals both current and prehistoric. Don’t worry, it didn’t make much sense back then either. But it still gained a loyal fanbase, much of which persists to this day. Revealed at Hasbro’s “Hascon” digital event and launching in January 2021, Transformers: War for Cybertron: Kingdom will feature figures of classic and new characters from Beast Wars: Transformers like Optimus Primal (no, that’s not a typo), Megatron (but not that Megatron), Rattrap (spoiler: he’s a rat), and the villainous Blackarachnia (who likely helped a few viewers discover something new about themselves)....
Blizzard has announced that the Hearthstone Masquerade Ball event will add the Elemental tribe to Battlegrounds, along with several temporary Halloween-themed changes over the next three weeks. Beginning on September 29, the Elemental type storms into Battlegrounds with a total of 16 new minions and four new Heroes. Each of the new heroes, Chenvaala, Rakanishu, Al’Akir the Windlord, and Ragnaros the Firelord all have distinct and powerful new abilities that are sure to shake up the meta....

Included comes a 70-page digital artbook and a soundtrack with an astonishing over-180 song list. This will come at an extra $5 for a total $44.99 cost. However, those who decide to purchase the three-game collection on Xbox can get a 10% discount for pre-ordering. While Sony has remained notoriously quiet on PS5, Microsoft has been very open on sharing new information on the Xbox Series X. Xbox was the first to reveal its console, something Sony hasn’t even done yet, as well as the first to provide info on some of the specific capabilities of the console as well. Considering this openness of information, it’s very likely Microsoft will be announcing the official release date along with its 20/20 presentation next month....
