Ghost of Tsushima is a decent game. It looks spectacular, it has rewarding combat that’s as simple or as complex as you want it to be, and it has that ‘just one more thing’ factor that pushed me towards the Platinum long after my interest had faded. However, it also features a bland protagonist, swirls around cliched tropes like Asian honour, offers up a weak story, and doesn’t seem all that concerned with establishing historical context....

There are a lot of things in video games that don’t make a lot of sense if you think about it. Games like Fallout and Skyrim in particular have mechanics that don’t always hold up to logic. For example, in Skyrim, a man can be dead for so long that he becomes a skeleton, but the stew that he left in the hearth is still fresh enough to eat. Before the glitchy release of Cyberpunk, it was generally accepted that Skyrim was one of the buggiest games that you could possibly buy, although we all still enjoy it....

A good multiplayer game is ever-changing, always in a state of evolution. Hardly ever will a formula be perfect upon its release to the public, and the same rings true for Call of Duty: Warzone. Infinity Ward has already tweaked the game in a number of different ways, but the time has come for developers to give its current perk system some attention. Although games should certainly keep their distinct identities, I wouldn’t mind seeing Warzone adopt characteristics from other great battle royales....
