NetherRealm Studios has updated the official Injustice 2 website with the date of the next planned character reveal. Expect the roster update to happen on March 2, just several days from now. The reveal will feature the twenty-first DC Comics hero or villain on Injustice 2’s roster, which according to the game’s website could ultimately be as large as forty characters. With NetherRealm dropping new characters via Twitter, trailer, livestream and so on in the past, it’ll be interesting to see how 21 debuts....

Warning: contains spoilers for Inside No. 9 series 6 episode 2 ‘Simon Says’. From exsanguination to decapitation, Inside No. 9 episodes have never shied away from grisly murder, and so far, series six is no different. Opener ‘Wuthering Heist’ was a bloodbath, while follow-up ‘Simon Says’ gave us a total of four deaths – two faked and two real. One of the real ‘Simon Says’ deaths was made to feel all the more authentic for filming choices made by director Guillem Morales....

It’s been two weeks since the series finale of Better Call Saul. The GTA 6 rumor mill has started up again, and this time the latest is that an all-new game in the series won’t be here until at least 2025. Almost as soon as a game launches, some of its fans question what’s next. Has work already begun on a sequel, if there is even going to be one at all. No studio has experienced that pressure quite as much in recent years as Rockstar....

Gunnar and Razer have teamed up to launch the first pair of blue-light blocking gaming glasses made specifically for teenagers. The glasses – called Moba, Razer Edition – feature a narrow frame design, adjustable nose bridge for smaller faces, lightweight construction, and amber lenses that block 65% of blue light. The patented amber lenses are also smudge resistant, reduce glare, and you can even put prescription lenses in if you don’t wear contacts....

OpTic Gaming owner Hector “H3CZ” Rodriguez has confirmed that the upcoming Call of Duty League season will be played online, as opposed to an NBA-style “bubble.” Teams will be required to have all players competing from the same facility while the matches take place online. Many fans had been left wondering how the upcoming Call of Duty League season would play out, as the previous one took place primarily online due to COVID-19....

Supergiant Games just announced that Hades, the indie smash hit roguelite from last year, is coming to Xbox Series X on August 13, 2021. Yes, it will be available to download and play for free if you’re an Xbox Game Pass subscriber. The news comes as part of today’s massive Microsoft and Bethesda showcase, which has featured all kind of new information so far. For example, Starfield is a console-exclusive for Xbox Series X and will launch on November 11, 2022, while Stalker 2 is scheduled to come out on April 28 next year....

The Halo series became known for its multiplayer when Halo: Combat Evolved was released in 2001. The last-minute addition of multiplayer elevated the game to mainstream popularity as LAN parties and split-screen Slayer nights became the definitive way to interact with the game. People were buying an Xbox just so they could play Halo. It has been twenty years since the release of the first title and the evolution of online multiplayer and faster internet speeds have redefined the games’ multiplayer modes....

Debuting at Microsoft’s Xbox Series X showcase a few weeks ago, Halo Infinite’s first gameplay trailer quickly became something of a heated online discussion point, with fans either slamming the game’s graphics or celebrating its new innovations to the series’ iconic gameplay. However, it seems YouTuber Hooloope had a vastly different reaction to seeing the first glimpse at the newest iteration in the Halo franchise, offering fans a recreation of the demo’s opening moments entirely stylized to look like an N64 game....

Hardsuit Labs has laid off a number of its employees a week after Paradox Interactive announced that the studio would no longer be developing Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2. On Twitter, several staff members expressed their disappointment with the decision. Nicole Stanford tweeted, “Hey, y’all. So unfortunately, there were layoffs at Hardsuit Labs, and the entire narrative team including myself were affected. If you know about any writing or narrative design opportunities, I would greatly appreciate hearing about the opportunity....

When Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery added pets to the game, the feature was met with a mixed response from the community. Some fans appreciated the opportunity to adopt a pet and liked how pets were an additional source of free energy, but others criticized pets as being too expensive for the average player. Now Jam City has added “Pet Looks” - essentially skins for pets - that are also fairly expensive....

Rick and Morty is arguably the most successful and popular property to come out of Adult Swim in the past decade. Ever since the show took off, its creators have adapted the series into multiple media formats (including video games). However, most of those projects sport the hallmarks of a Rick and Morty episode without being connected to the franchise. This has resulted in the occasional bout of confusion since, given how Rick and Morty works, you never really know what is a cheeky reference and what is a thread that creates an extended universe of stories....

Chicory understands my depression in ways few other pieces of media ever have. It’s incredibly rare that I see depression even remotely like my own on the screen. Warning: contains spoilers for the Cruel Summer finale. Buzzy teen drama Cruel Summer is one of 2021’s most unexpected delights, a wildly addictive, twisty mystery spread across three distinct timelines and featuring a pair of great young actresses at its center in Olivia Holt and Chiara Aurelia. The story, which ostensibly follows the aftermath of a kidnapping in a small Texas town, has a little bit of everything: Unreliable narrators, a nostalgia-heavy 1990s setting, a banging soundtrack, and one of television’s most carefully nuanced depictions of trauma and the lingering effect it can have on those whose lives it touches....

Destiny 2 will be getting a new PvP mode added to its Competitive playlist at an unannounced point in its second year. It’s called Breakthrough, and in its current development build, it focuses on teamplay and objectives over straight slaying. In some ways, it channels a bit of Overwatch’s Assault mode. As a Competitive mode, Breakthrough is a 4v4 format (which is worth noting because of the Quickplay’s recent change to fully 6v6 modes), with each team starting on opposite sides of the map....
