What a relief, then, that Clea DuVall’s Christmas rom-com Happiest Season instantly and effortlessly breaks that mold while simultaneously being the kind of sweet, poignant, funny film you’ll want to rewatch every December....

The original Happy Death Day in 2017 was a fresh twist on the slasher movie, a kind of cross between Happy Birthday to Me and Groundhog Day in which a troubled college student named Tree (Jessica Rothe) finds herself reliving her birthday over and over again, each time ending with her death at the hands of a masked killer. It’s only through her own realizations about her behavior and the way she evolves into a better person that Tree can solve the mystery and (literally) get her life back on track....

Since sharing a much-needed gameplay introduction to The Elder Scrolls Online in November, ZeniMax Online Studios went radio silent on the MMO front until today. Despite numerous reveals and news stories suggesting the complete opposite, all is not well in the house of Thief. Yes, the game was officially unveiled last month, leading most to assume the long-gestating project was finally on track, but that is apparently not the case. Those who have played Grand Theft Auto 5 know how frustrating the AI traffic jams can be in and around Los Santos. Apparently, those traffic jams can actually be very educational, at least when it comes to self-driving cars. Turns out a group of researchers are using Grand Theft Auto 5’s driver AI to teach their self-driving cars how to navigate through traffic. Davide Bacchet of startup Nio recently connected with Bloomberg, where he explained why the company is using Grand Theft Auto 5 to help train the company’s driverless cars....
