With player complaints mounting, Call of Duty: Warzone developer Infinity Ward has finally responded to the massive wave of cheating that threatens to topple their battle royale game. Call of Duty: Warzone has gone bad–particularly on PC. Players are reporting that they can’t go a single game without matching with at least one cheater using aimbots, wallhacks, and other unauthorized software to get an extra advantage over their opponents. The Warzone subreddit has become a non-stop death replay exposing hacker after hacker, and Warzone developer Infinity Ward remained suspiciously silent throughout all of it....

Though still a relatively unexplored genre, FMVs are starting to become more prevalent as time goes on. One of the most recent ones, Five Dates, now has a release date on console. The game is set to release on November 17th for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, and promises to let fans experience the complications of digital dating in the midst of a global pandemic. For those that aren’t familiar with the term, FMV stands for Full Motion Video, and refers to a type of video game where all the action takes place in the form of pre-recorded real life scenes....

For what seems like several months now, Ubisoft has been tiptoeing around their forthcoming last-gen release for Assassin’s Creed without actually announcing anything. We’ve heard rumors that they were slated to announce the game, potentially titled Assassin’s Creed Comet, at everything from E3 2014 to Comic-Con, but thus far Ubiosft has kept quiet. Today, however, a new rumor has surfaced that suggests the game’s title is not Comet but is, in fact, Assassin’s Creed Rogue....

Dead Island 2 was first announced all the way back at Sony’s E3 2014 presentation, where its trailer was met with a positive response from fans excited to see more open world zombie-killing action. We were then treated to a Dead Island 2 gameplay demo not long after, but then momentum for the game fell off a cliff, and we haven’t seen anything substantial about it for years. Fans could be forgiven for assuming Dead Island 2 was canceled, but apparently that’s not the case, and the game is still coming out for PC, PS4, and Xbox One....

Agent 47 might be returning with a brand new Hitman game, and it could be another episodic adventure. During the recent documentary from Noclip focusing on the Hitman franchise and the developer behind it, IO Interactive, it was revealed the studio is already shifting focus on a possible third Hitman title. Noclip host Danny O’Dwyer mentioned that most of the development team is working on secret new content, which may or may not be Hitman 3....

To say that Grand Theft Auto 5 has experienced its fair share of success would be an understatement. Since coming out on the Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2013, Rockstar’s incredibly popular sequel has sold millions of copies, successfully incorporated an online component (that’s still being supported), and relaunched on Xbox One, PS4, and PC to, once again, go on to sell a ton of copies. Both Rockstar and publisher Take-Two are sure to be pleased with Grand Theft Auto 5’s performance over the last two years, and it doesn’t look like the game’s finished with drawing people’s attention....

The Arena War workshop is among the most valuable yet underused businesses in GTA Online. With the Arena War update came dozens of new vehicles and a workshop to modify them, a popular trend in many of the game’s updates. These vehicles can be tricked out with unconventional yet devastating upgrades, transforming even the most basic rides in GTA Online into machines similar to something out of Mad Max. With these destructive vehicles, players can participate in deadly events known as Arena War Series....

Necromunda is getting some love from Games Workshop with new gangs, terrain sets, and rules for the cyberpunk-themed tabletop game. Tabletop game Necromunda is the bee’s knees right now thanks to a handful of big announcements from GW. The cyberpunk-themed game that channels the ’80s Bladerunner and cyberpunk aesthetic so well first appeared in 1991 within the pages of White Dwarf as Confrontation. In 1995 it was renamed and saw an official release as Necromunda only to be discontinued a few years later....

It’s certainly been a year. As we look forward to 2021, we’re going to carefully ignore all the bad stuff that happened in 2020 and remain laser-focused on what made 2020 pretty great–at least in the world of gaming, anyway. And one of those great things was Hades, a roguelike that took Steam by storm. People loved Hades. It’s already on the shortlist for Steam’s Game of the Year for 2020, and it’s even got a thumbs up from two of our editors....

And then we got the prison visit, Richard’s apology, the front step exchange (with bonus stew-interlude), Rob Hepworth and Ryan in the school gymnasium, Ann and Nev in the garden (Clare was right about those Grade II-listed wooden doings)… All that, plus aliens, gangsters, a blood-soaked Catherine beating seven shades out of a lowlife, our first possible sighting of a Knežević in the wild and – this feels implausible to type – also Jo’s murder?...

The MCU is one of the greatest movie sagas of all time. It is as entertaining as it is thoughtful and set such a high bar for quality that no one has yet to match it (not for lack of trying). Characters who were once second-tier, like Iron Man, have become super popular household names, found on everything from t-shirts to tattoos. However, of all the celebrated heroes in the Avengers, only Captain America can be considered a legitimate honest to goodness hero....

Hitman 2 is a game full to bursting with content as each level offers an expansive playground for players to plan the perfect assassinations. The Santa Fortuna map is no exception, with a wide array of options that only become clear after multiple playthroughs. Several of these more obscure possibilities aren’t even outlined by the game’s Mission Stories, as it’s left up to the players to find them in the Colombian jungle....

Video game studios Asmodev (Ultimate Summer, Priest Simulator) and Gaming Factory (Gunslingers & Zombies, Human Farm) recently announced their collaborative title Inquisitor: The Hammer of Witches has received a name change and is now known as Mercyful Flames. The game’s first teaser trailer was also released along with the announcement. According to the game’s Steam dev blog, the reason for the name change is because the original one sounded “extremely clunky”, as if “the Lord of the Rings were called The Hobbits: A Wizarding Journey through a Magical Land....

Aemma Targaryen (Sian Brooke), the queen and wife of Viserys Targaryen (Paddy Considine), is in her seventh labor. The king’s consort has already provided the monarch with a healthy and happy daughter named Rhaenyra (Milly Alcock), who is more than ready to rule. However, Viserys is determined to have a son, even after numerous miscarriages and stillbirths have left his wife’s health on a precarious edge....

Gohan’s role in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is a somewhat controversial one due to how his character developed in the original anime which the game is based on. Although the game does a good job of portraying him as a more capable and realistic character, he still falls out of relevance in a rather frustrating way just like in the anime. The Cell Saga ends with a pivotal moment in which Gohan surpasses his father, Vegeta, and Future Trunks to attain the Super Saiyan 2 transformation and do battle with Cell, but the battle should honestly have been much shorter and easier for Gohan than it was....

Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are back in Marvel’s Avengers, the new action-adventure game from developer Crystal Dynamics and publisher Square Enix. The game, which is set sometime after a terrible accident destroys San Francisco and caused the Avengers to disband, follows young Inhuman Kamala Khan as she works to reassamble the superhero team to fight a new threat to the planet.
