It’s easy enough to look at photos of scalpers hoarding PS5s and feel a sense of outrage, but there’s always been some reasonable doubt regarding how much of an impact these resellers actually have....

Lugia is my favourite Legendary Pokemon. With less than two weeks until Nvidia is expected to unveil its new Ampere based graphics cards at a GeForce Special Event, a new image leak shows the flagship RTX 3090 card in the wild for the first time. The image was leaked by Twitter user GarnetSunset, and shows the Founders Edition card next to the equivalent RTX 2080. While images have leaked of the RTX 3080, this appears to be the first full image of the RTX 3090, revealing that Nvidia will be using the same design style across both the cards, and potentially all the RTX 30 Series Founders Edition cards....

Independent developer Playbae Games has announced that its upcoming puzzle-platformer In My Shadow will launch on Steam later this month. The game took home awards from the Indie Game Developer Conference, Indie Prize Asia, and other institutions in 2019. Based on the announcement trailer, In My Shadow appears to be a hybrid of a 3D puzzle game and a 2D platformer. The player slides furniture and other household items around a room to rearrange the shadows they cast on the walls....

The cast of The Boys and showrunner Eric Kripke have filed into the Den of Geek SXSW interview studio to discuss their festival appearance and the triumphant release of season 3’s much-anticipated trailer. A fan of Battlefield 1 has created a parody of the reveal trailer, replacing the gritty game-based footage with video from the Spongebob Squarepants cartoon. When DICE revealed Battlefield 1, the studio chose to do it with an adrenaline-filled trailer which demonstrated a gritty turn away from futuristic warfare. The new World War 1 setting has proven to be a popular choice with Battlefield fans, who have given the official YouTube reveal for the game over a million likes, almost four times what rival series Call of Duty has received....

Cosplay, the time-intensive hobby of creating costumes based off favorite anime or video game characters, isn’t easy. Bringing a character to life in a real-life, three-dimensional form requires skill, ingenuity, and often quite a bit of cash. Even so, cosplayers delight in becoming their favorite characters for a while, and fans are generally overjoyed to see the real-life interpretations. During the recent San Diego Comic-Con, one cosplayer caught the attention of many in a fantastic rendition of a Destiny playable class....

It’s called Farthest Frontier, and it’s coming to Steam Early Access at some point. The page just recently appeared on Steam’s storefront and doesn’t have a release date as of yet. In fact, this is the first we’ve heard about it. We did know that Crate Entertainment was up to something thanks to a recent job ad. The ad for a senior/lead engineer was looking for someone with experience in RPGs, which makes sense since Grim Dawn is a hack-and-slash RPG, but then it also asked for a love of strategy and RTS games....

Dealing with hackers and exploits is something that any developer of an online game has to deal with from time to time. Even the largest companies need to police and protect their online platforms. Sony and Microsoft found this out the hard way during the hacking attacks on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live last year. In general, most companies try to respond as quickly and efficiently as possible when a new exploit pops up, usually by removing the offending content from the game or by banning the offending account....

Daybreak Game Company’s battle royale game H1Z1 is soon to make its eSports debut, but figures for the game’s current player base suggest that the move may have come too late. While its direct competitor, PUBG, left early access on PC and Epic Games’ Fortnite entered the battle royale market to great success, H1Z1 has seen a dramatic fall in its player base, according to figures released by GitHyp. At its height in 2017, H1Z1 achieved around 150,000 concurrent players, but that number has fallen sharply to a peak of 14,000 this February....

The seventh through ninth missions of Halo 5: Guardians feature 27 mission intel, making them the most collectible-heavy three levels in the game. Reunion contains seven intel, Swords of Sanghelios has the most in the game with 12 and Alliance features eight. These three levels feature three skulls total, with two on Reunion and one on Swords of Sanghelios. Microsoft and 343 Industries reveal new content coming to Halo 5: Guardians, including a big team multiplayer mode variant called Warlords and classic Halo requisition helmets. Even though it launched back in October 2015, 343 Industries has continued to develop and release new content to keep fans of Halo 5: Guardians happy. Updates have ranged from small event and playlist updates such as the Anniversary Playlist to more significant expansion pieces like the Memories of Reach pack....

Borderlands 2’s resident sociopathic villain, Handsome Jack, just might be one of the most interesting, enduring characters in modern gaming. He has a perplexing dual nature of being both charming and sadistic; hilarious and sinister. And while you’d think these attributes would clash — with Jack, it just… works somehow. Much of the strength of his character stems from his memorable quotes, which range from funny to disturbing to nonsensical — and everything in between....

J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter book series, has revealed her favorite Mario Kart character. The author took to Twitter to give a fan a few interesting details about herself, revealing that she always chooses Yoshi when playing Nintendo’s cart racing game. Rowling revealed her Mario Kart preferences alongside a few other small facts about herself, including that she got a tattoo last year, though not a Harry Potter-themed one, and that she’s currently re-reading Catch-22....
